Inside

The inside of The Nova Dome at The Fold is a glorious retreat from everyday life. At the centre is the bespoke king size bed, perfectly located on a raised mesanine. Snuggle beneath the duvet and keep your eyes trained to the twinkling stars above, through the sky light. By day, peruse the shelves for a great book to read and settle down on the sofa. And if it’s turning a bit chilly, light the woodburning stove, ideal for both warmth and a romantic ambience. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for creating cosy, romantic dinners to enjoy by candlelight at the table for two.

Outside

The Nova Dome at The Fold is well catered for to ensure you can experience outdoor living in luxury. With eighteen acres of pastureland to roam and babbling streams criss-crossing the site to wander along. Or perhaps you’d just like to sit on your elevated deck and soak up the chorus song of birds. Challenge your partner to a board game at the outdoor dining set. The rain won’t dampen your spirits, as also on the deck, you’ll find an undercover outdoor kitchen. Fire up the Kamado barbecue (which handily doubles as an oven) or pizza oven and dine al fresco. Next to this, you’ll find your shower room, along with your composting loo. After a busy day doing an awful lot, or perhaps not a lot, stoke up the wood fired hot tub. Let the warm waters soothe your stress away as you enjoy some precious one on one time. And finish off the day with s’mores as you dry off by the firepit, lounging on your bean bags. Pure bliss.

While you may be content to park up and just enjoy the tranquillity of The Nova Dome. Some may be tempted to explore further afield. The dome has plenty of suggestions for local walks to sample, so don’t forget your hiking boots! A fifteen minute drive will find you in the Black Mountains, where you can walk a portion of Offa’s Dyke Path. If you love a tipple, just a couple of miles away is Black Mountain Botanicals. With gin tastings and cocktail making, it’s a fun day out. Although if cider is more your things, Gwatkins Cider is a must visit.  And what’s even better is that it is in walking distance from The Fold so no designated driver required.  If you’re feeling the need to connect with a more urban way of life, Hereford and Hay-on-Wye are around twenty minutes away. Hay-on-Wye is famed for its huge selection of bookshops – a must visit for keen readers. While Hereford is a lovely market town steeped in history. Hereford Cathedral is well worth a visit, or simply enjoy pottering around the streets.
