Tucked away in the heart of the Scottish countryside is Bachilton Farm Holidays. With accommodations to suit a variety of guests, it’s a real rural retreat. Set amid a 740 acre arable working farm you can choose to stay in one of the lovely cottages. Or if you’re a keen glamper, the Mongolian style yurts will be just your cup of tea. Inside

Each of the properties at Bachilton Farm Holidays offer lovely home comforts, even the yurts! The five cottages, which started life as farmhand accommodation, have been renovated into warm and cosy spaces for the whole family. The largest is Ninetrees Cottage, sleeping up to eight people. Cairnies and Dovecote Cottages sleep six people apiece. Langside and Lochy Cottages sleep up to four people but are also ideal for couples. All of the cottages come with fully equipped kitchens, cosy living spaces, Wi-Fi access and utility equipment. Ideal for any muddy mishaps!

Meanwhile, the Yurts (Moss and Timothy) offer impeccable glamping luxury. Sleeping up to six people each in a comfy double bed plus a double and two single futon beds. They are fabulous for families and couples alike. Coming equipped with a fan in summer and a heater in winter. And, in common with Dovecote Cottage, they also each have a log burner to heat the space to toasty perfection. Feeling warm and sleepy after a busy day, stargaze through the domed skylight as you drift off into sweet dreams.

Outside

As well as designated parking spots, and a rather lovely communal pondside spot in which to picnic. Each of the properties at Bachilton Farm Holidays come with their own outdoor space. The Yurts each have their own individual private bathrooms and kitchen huts which can be found close by. Coming with a shower, a loo and basin along with a hairdryer in the shower room. With a fridge and small freezer, microwave and kettle in the kitchen area. And cooking is back to tasty basics on the barbeque. And the icing on the cake are the super relaxing hot tubs at each property. Ideal for toasting busy (or lazy) days and peaceful nights.

Nearby

Bachilton Farm Holidays is a fifteen drive away from the traditional Scottish market town of Crieff. While ever so slightly further in the opposite direction is the city of Perth. Having been named as Scotland’s First Food Town, Perth and the wider county is a hub of foodie treats! Throw in the many distilleries, such as Tullibardine Distillery. Or if wine is more your scene, the Cairn O’Mohr Winery (both around a thirty minutes’ drive). For keen golfers, Gleneagles is less than a half hour drive away. If history and heritage is your passion, you are spoiled for choice. Within a half hour drive, you can discover; Huntingtower Castle, Scone Palace, The Black Watch Castle and Museum and Drummond Castle Gardens. With Blair Castle and Glamis Castle also being reachable within the hour. And for a day trip, head to the historic city of Dundee. Around a forty five minute drive, you can see the only V&A Museum outside of London.
