Although on the same estate, both properties are completely private from one another. The HideAway is built with couples in mind being a perfect romantic bolthole. Its hillside position offers dreamy far reaching views towards the sea. Meanwhile, The Bothy is purpose built for families. Nestled into its own spot in an ancient woodland, you’ll delight at the peace of life amongst the trees. And as both are dog friendly, the whole family can enjoy an off grid break.

The Cambo Estate is ideal for exploring the picturesque region of the East Neuk of Fife. Waterfalls, beaches, harbours and quaint fishing villages are lying ripe for your discovery.

Inside

Presiding over those views of the Fife coastline is The HideAway. While minimalist in design, the use of warm woods and tactile fabrics lend a cosy, homely vibe. The corner sofa seating occupies pride of place with dual aspect views through the huge glazed window and door. Backing on to a small dining space, this faces the bespoke oak kitchen. Furnished with a hob and small fridge freezer. Freshen up in the stylish ensuite shower room. And end your day by diving beneath the duvet of the super comfortable king sized bed. With a huge picture window at its foot, you’ll wake feeling refreshed to the sight of those beautiful views.

Meanwhile, The Bothy sleeps up to four people. The Scandi style design is modern and sleek, while the hand selected fabrics add a touch of homely comfort. With a studio style concept, the sofa space sits in front of the expanse of glass to the front. Perfect for keen nature spotters! The woodburning stove doubles as heating and can also be used as a cooking stove. Meanwhile, the kitchenette space offers storage, workspace and all the utensils you could need. Freshen up in the cool shower room at the end of a busy day. And bedtime will become an adventure thanks to the two double beds nestled into their own nooks.

Outside

Whether you are staying in The HideAway or The Bothy parking is set away from your holiday home. In doing so the abundant resident wildlife remain protected. Instead, select your wagon, load it up with your luggage and begin your experience. Follow the signage along the footpath and leave the stresses of the outside world behind. Although the walk isn’t too arduous, at most it is 250m, please note that this may not be suitable if you have mobility requirements.

The short walk sets you up perfectly for the experience of outdoor living. Both have their own firepit and barbecues, ideal for al fresco feasting. The HideAway benefits from an extended deck, the perfect outdoor living room. While an outdoor nap is definitely in order on the double hammock over at The Bothy.

Nearby

During your stay at either The Bothy or The HideAway, you may simply be content to relax. The Cambo Estate offers plenty for those who’d prefer to park up for the duration. From the doorstep, you have access to the beach and a stunning coastal trail. Explore the beautiful 2.5 acre Georgian Walled Garden. Or head to the Stables Visitor Centre where you’ll find a shop, eco crafts and a scrummy vegetarian cafe. And for those who enjoy a tipple, take the short walk to Kingsbarns Distillery. But if you prefer to get out and about, take a day trip to the nearby university city of St Andrews (twenty minutes). Visit one of the many Scottish castles, Kellie Castle, managed by National Trust for Scotland is just under twenty minutes’ drive. Or explore the ruins of nearby St Andrews Castle.
