Nectar House at Shellgrove Rural Retreats is one of those properties which will be hard to beat. Impeccably designed with quality furnishings, and yet it feels like home. Located close to the village of Horton-cum-Studley, this warm and welcoming home away from home is very special.

Sleeping up to four guests (with space for infants too). Shellgrove Rural Retreats has two bedrooms, each having a sumptuous super king bed. The facilities here are incredible. So incredible that you may struggle to tear yourself away to see all that Oxfordshire has to offer!

Ideal for families or friends looking to enjoy a quiet break together and catch up. Shellgrove Rural Retreats offers the most wonderful of spaces to create the break you want and deserve.

Inside

The interior of Shellgrove Rural Retreats is classy and calming. Soothing neutral tones run throughout, enhancing the feeling of relaxation within. Meanwhile, homely touches create a vibrant warmth. The open plan kitchen and lounge space is the area to which everyone will be drawn. The spectacular expanse of glazing offers the most mesmerising panoramic views of the Oxfordshire countryside. Get comfy on the sofa in front of the huge wall mounted Smart TV. And light the woodburning stove beneath for the ultimate in cosy ambience. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. With an oven and hob, fridge, freezer and coffee machine, as well as a boiling water tap. The on trend island has seating around it, creating a seamlessly social space. The two bedrooms both have super king size beds, with the master having an ensuite shower room. Not to be outdone, the second bedroom can have exclusive access to the family bathroom. With a bath and a waterfall shower, you’re spoiled for choice.

Outside

The much admired glazing off the kitchen opens out onto the amazing outdoor space. Designed to be the ‘outdoor’ room, this area has it all. With comfortable sofa-style seating for relaxing. A fantastic barbecue area to impress even the most discerning of outdoor chefs. And a dining area to enjoy your grilled feasts. The kids will love the huge garden. Whilst those looking for a quiet snooze, or a moment of contemplation will enjoy the hammock and swing seat. Evenings will see you in one of two places. Slipping into your costume and luxuriating in the bubbles of the private hot tub. Undercover to ensure the weather doesn’t dampen your soak. Or perhaps you’d prefer to warm yourself around the firepit, toast s’mores and chat long into the night. All before waking up fresh and ready for another day at Shellgrove Rural Retreats.

Shellgrove Rural Retreats offers the best of all worlds. The idyllic rural setting and countryside views feel remote. And yet within half an hour or less you can be enjoying some renowned attractions. The historic city of Oxford will no doubt be on your must-visit list. Try your hand at punting or sightsee. Visit Oxford Castle and Prison or the Botanic Garden. If your idea of heaven comes in the shape of shopping till you drop – Bicester Village is less than fifteen minutes away. Meanwhile, Blenheim Palace and Waddesdon Manor offer days out with a touch of heritage. If you fancy something a little different, head to The Hellfire Caves.
