Catgill Farm, North Yorkshire
Best suited for families or two couples with kids, each pod at Catgill Farm can sleep six people, though 4 adults and 2 children is recommended. Duck, Pheasant and Stag pods are also dog friendly. With comfy living and sleeping areas, rolling countryside views, bench areas for alfresco dining, a fire pit and your own private hot, this is one of our best group stays in Yorkshire.

Pheasant Cottage, Scottish Highlands
A luxurious hideaway perfect for an action-packed adventure in the Scottish Highlands, Pheasant Cottage is an 18th Century cottage that has been given a seriously modern update. Interiors have an almost Scandi feel and six people can sleep comfortably here across three bedrooms. The Master bedroom has an en-suite and French doors leading out to the patio that enjoys uninterrupted countryside views. It’s the perfect base for a group stay with hot tub in Scotland. Bowland Retreat Lodges, Ribble Valley
For a group getaway in Lancashire’s beautiful Ribble Valley, book a stay at Bowland Retreat Lodges. Stabl Nantcoy, West Wales
This holiday home near the seaside town of Aberaeron on the West Wales coast is the perfect group getaway for six. Rocket Lodge, Rutland
Another of our favourite quirky group stays in the UK is Rocket Lodge, which is so wow factor it has even featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces. Made from three converted grain silos and four shepherd’s huts connected by glazed oak corridors, this unique stay is definitely one you’ll never forget. Interiors are cool and eclectic with features like hanging fireplaces, freestanding baths with disco balls in the bathroom, a mish mash but-it-works collection of vintage furniture and artwork and fairy-lit decking leading to a huge alfresco area and outdoor hot tub. Best suited to 4 adults and 2 children.

Celtic Manor Hunter Lodges, Usk Valley
Want a self-catering group getaway that also comes with the benefits of staying in a spa hotel? Book a stay at Celtic Manor Hunter Lodges, a short distance from the Celtic Manor Resort. These luxury lodges are perfect for a special occasion and can comfortably sleep 8 adults and 2 children. The Safari Tent, Glastonbury
For a quirky group glamping stay in the UK, why not book The Safari Tent and live out your own Savannah experience in Glastonbury. This fabulously unique tent sleeps six guests and comes with a proper kitchen and living area and amazing views over Glastonbury Festival site and the Somerset hills. Sit out on the private decking with your favourite tipple in hand or dine alfresco. This stay is definitely one of our best rooms with a view. There’s even a swing for the kids and access to a communal indoor swimming pool.

Cefncilwg, South West Wales
This charming cottage is one of our biggest group stays on ToWander UK and can sleep up to 10 people. Cefncilwg is also one of our accessible stays as it can be accessed by wheelchairs. Found in Carmarthenshire, also known as the ‘Garden of Wales’, this former farmhouse has been given a 21st Century update. There are five comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms including one with a roll top bath, a country kitchen dining area and large living space. Outside there is a patio with seating, BBQ, hot tub and children’s play area. Don’t forget to say hello to the local alpacas and Shetland ponies. Outdoor geodomes are available in the warmer months.

West Acre, North Yorkshire
For a special occasion group stay in the UK big enough for the whole family, we love West Acre in the lovely North Yorkshire village of Wistow. Sleeping 14 (+2) across seven boutique bedrooms, it’s perfect for multi-generation stays if you are celebrating a big birthday or anniversary. It is also wheelchair friendly, including a lift and en-suite accessible bedroom. Fully equipped for dinner parties, movie nights in the cinema room and games – they have a full-sized pool table, plus croquet and table tennis – there is something for the whole family to enjoy.
