Located next to a working farm in South Pembrokeshire is Amongst the Stars @ Apple Camping – a rather eclectic glamping site. Wildly unique, these three properties provide the coolest glamping experience you’re ever likely to have. The Jetstar is a converted private jet. While the Arabian Nights Airbus was once a commercial Etihad airliner. And if those heights aren’t dizzying enough, take to the stars in The UFO for an out of this world experience. With quirky features and fun extras, each sleeps a maximum of four people. And with some bed sizes being best for children, they are best suited to either families or couples. And if you can’t bear to leave the dog behind, up to two well behaved dogs are welcome if you opt to stay in The UFO.

Inside

Each of the accommodations at Apple Camping is completely individual. The Jetstar retains its private jet roots, with the cockpit now transformed into a cool gaming space. Here you can take to the pilot’s seat and play flight games on the Xbox 360. The main fuselage has its plush plane seating, while the leather sofa can double as a single bed. A further small single bed (suitable for children) can be found behind the cockpit. And to the rear is a loo and the double bedroom.

Enter The UFO via the remote control retractable staircase and doors. Request the smoke machine for the full alien landing experience! Inside is bright, white and very modern, exactly what you’d expect from the future. With a dining space, a double bed and two single beds/sofas. Get nostalgic with classic 80’s game Space Invaders on the gaming monitor. Or check out the night sky via the stargazing dome. And come night time, be dazzled by the sky at night laser display.

And last but not least, the Arabian Nights Airbus. The most spacious and self-contained of the three properties. This has an open plan living and sleeping space. With two single beds, plus a double sofa bed. To the rear you’ll find your airline loo and hot water shower. As well as a fully functioning kitchenette, aeroplane style.

Outside

Each of the accommodations at Apple Camping come with their own private kitchen facilities. In the case of both The UFO and The Jetstar, these are adjacent to your quirky glamping pod. With induction hobs, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster as well as crockery and cutlery, you’re all set for tasty treats. Both of these also have access to the communal shower facilities and loos. Each property enjoys its own outdoor seating space. With Arabian Nights having a separate undercover dining space in addition to its private deck. Also onsite is a shared barbecue area with a central seating area for those who wish to meet their fellow adventurers.

Nearby

Apple Camping provides a stellar location for exploring Pembrokeshire and beyond. There’s a huge number of attractions and sites of interest within a half an hour drive or less. The harbour town of Tenby is just five miles away. With beautiful golden sandy beaches and picturesque pastel buildings in the town, it makes for an idyllic day out. Close by is Heatherton World of Activities, packed full of fun! Whether you’re with the kids or looking for something more adrenaline fuelled, there’ll be something here for you. Families will love Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo, The Dinosaur Park and Manor Wildlife Park. All within a ten minute drive. For those who are more interested in history, Pembroke Castle and Manorbier Castle are just two nearby historical attractions. Enjoy long coastal walks on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, or on the National Trust Stackpole Estate. And in the summer take a boat trip out to the holy island of Caldey Island from Tenby. Owned and run by Cistercian monks, it’s a peaceful haven ideal for reflection.
