Situated on the edge of a family farm close to the market town of Knighton, is Brook Cottage. Located just across the English/Welsh border, this homely bungalow offers an idyllic semi-rural haven. With green views from every aspect, yet within walking distance of nearby Knighton, it is the perfect escape.

Sleeping up to six people in three bedrooms, Brook Cottage is brilliant for families. With the wholly step free layout being particularly good for multi-generational family groups. Spacious rooms and thoughtful touches create a welcoming ambience that is sure to make you feel right at home.

Ideal for a family break away from it all. Or enjoy the beautiful countryside in the immediate area, with plenty to see and do by heading out by car. Brook Cottage is a perfect home base for creating the memorable break you want with your loved ones.

Inside

Light and spacious throughout, Brook Cottage is modern yet has the cosy feel of a country cottage. The kitchen/diner is the heart of this home. With plenty of storage space, the kitchen is well-equipped enough to make any keen chef smile. A double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. As well as basics such as a kettle and toaster. There is also a Nespresso coffee maker for caffeine fiends. And for those who enjoy jumping in muddy puddles, you’ll find a washing machine in the utility area. The living space has its ambience set with the beautiful wood burning stove. Choose a game or book and enjoy the peace and quiet. Or grab your popcorn and settle in for movie night on the Smart HD TV. The three bedrooms are a great size, with a king, a double and a twin. And there is both a family bathroom, plus an ensuite to the master bedroom.

A family friendly garden awaits you at Brook Cottage. With a patio space complete with outdoor furniture for al fresco dining, or evening drinks. There’s lovely lawn space to the front and side, including a swing to delight younger guests. Plus, there’s easy parking space for all. With generous off-road parking for at least six cars.

Within forty five minutes, or much, much less there is so much to see and do around Brook Cottage. For those who are more active, a day out at Elan Valley beckons. In the heart of the Cambrian Mountains, hike or bike through this stunning landscape. If you enjoy a potter around town, Ludlow and Hay-on-Wye will be a highlight for foodies and bookworms respectively. And not forgetting nearby Knighton, with its pubs, restaurants and independent shops. It is also known for being the only town on the historic Offa’s Dyke Path. For those who enjoy gaining a bit of knowledge, the Spaceguard Centre is just a few minutes away. Conducting almost daily tours, it’s a fascinating insight into a day in the life of a working observatory. Smaller members of your party will delight in the Small Breeds Farm Park. While there are plenty of heritage properties to visit, Stokesay Castle and Croft Castle and Parkland are just a couple.
