Catgill Farm is managed by Oliver.
Minimum stay for this property is 2 nights.
Reconnect with nature and experience the very best outdoor living has to offer. All without sacrificing those little luxuries or even a wink of sleep.
Nestled into the treeline on Catgill Farm are these beautiful wooden glamping pods and canvas bell tents. Featuring a bespoke design and layout, they’re sited to make the most of the stunning North Yorkshire views. Suited to families, friends and couples, each pod sleeps 6 people (although a maximum of 4 adults is recommended) and Duck, Pheasant, and Stag pods are dog friendly. The bell tents have a double bed plus two futon beds to accommodate up to 4 people. A homely environment which seamlessly blends outdoor living with the everyday luxuries we’ve become used to. Wholly self-contained with private facilities, including Wi-Fi access in both the pods and tents. One thing you may be keen to ditch is the car. And the location of Catgill Farm is perfect in allowing you to park up for the duration of your stay. So, lace up those hiking boots and get to know this breathtaking area.
These creatively designed pods and canvas tents perfectly complement their natural woodland surroundings. Each pod is individually styled to reflect its own unique name. Comfy and extremely cosy, catch your nightly dose of zzzz’s on either the double bed, the sofa bed, or even the full sized single bunk beds that are within your pod. With a fully fitted kitchen, including a two plate ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. You’re also well prepared with all the utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans you’ll need for your stay. The bell tents are equipped with a wood burning stove for cooking and to keep you cosy throughout the night. The interior is decorated with fairy lights and hot water bottles are provided for extra cosiness. If the weather isn’t at its sun-shining best, you may wish to escape to the indoor dining set. And after a tough, tiring day out on the Dales, head back for a warm shower in the ensuite bathroom or private shower pod.
As fantastic as the inside is, you’ll be keen to savour as much outdoor living as you can. Throw open the pod doors or fold back the canvas, onto your private patio and enjoy the expansive North Yorkshire views and nature in all its glory. Providing options for your evening feast with either a BBQ or pizza oven, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining alfresco. Each pod and tent has its own fire pit complete with a grill and pizza oven as well as an outdoor dining table large enough for the whole family. Don’t forget to grab some marshmallows for toasting! As the sun begins to set, slip into your wood-fired hot tub, and enjoy the advantages of Catgill Farm being situated in a UK dark skies area. Light pollution is extremely low making it an incredible location for stargazing.
NEW FOR 2024! The Woodpecker, The Honeybee and The Hedgehog now have a magical geodome on the patio so you really can lay beneath the stars in comfort.
The first place you’ll want to visit is Bolton Abbey. Less than a mile away the expansive estate is home to the ruins of Bolton Priory, as well as the famous stepping stones across the river. The challenge is to get to the other side and stay dry! Take a picnic, paddle in the winding river and explore the many areas, sights and trails. Hesketh Farm Park is just a stone’s throw away from Catgill Farm and is a lovely day out for the whole family. Take a tractor ride, meet the animals and there are plenty of play options for young visitors. If you want to venture further afield there are several picturesque towns and villages with cafes, pubs, and independent shops, enough to keep the whole group entertained. In less than fifteen minutes you can be in the picturesque market town of Skipton. With a canal, plenty of pubs and independent shops – it’s ripe for exploration. The spa town of Harrogate is also just thirty minutes away. And family attractions such as Lightwater Valley and Stockeld Park around forty-five minutes away.
Families, couples and friends keen to park up and reconnect with nature.
Maybe Catgill Farm doesn’t have the availability you are looking for, so why not take a look at their lodges with hot tubs at Howgill Lodge.
