Inside

If you’ve opted for a tree tent, head across the drawbridge and enter the compact, but cosy space. With a sofa that folds out into a comfy double bed by night. And a wood burning stove, which alongside the excellent insulation makes them suitable for year round breaks. Or perhaps you prefer the super cool conkers. Stylish yet comfortable with super king beds, which handily convert to a sofa for the day. Earth has the added benefit of a small indoor kitchen space, and an indoor shower. Plus, an added option of access to super-fast satellite broadband via Starlink if you really can’t unplug completely. Meanwhile, Moon is perfect for stargazers, with a generous smattering of portholes to see the gorgeous dark skies.

Outside

Chillderness Red Kite Glamping is all about the outdoors. And so it stands to reason, that as cool as the sleeping space is, the outside will stun. Each tree tent can be found at the river’s edge. Served with their own access and private drawbridges. The tree tent being at one end, with your outdoor facilities at the other. Here you’ll find the treetop kitchen, with a gas hob and cooking utensils. Along with the outdoor shower cabin – and yes, there is hot water! You’ll also find your private, flushing loo a little further up the hillside. Across at the conker pods, you can enjoy a riverside location at Moon, along with your own dining pod and outdoor kitchen, complete with a pizza oven. Meanwhile, Earth enjoys awe inspiring mountain top views. And you can enjoy your day at your conker pod with a sumptuous wood fired outdoor bathtub. With hammocks, firepits and outdoor seating – there is ample opportunity to truly unwind and enjoy outdoor living.

One of the benefits of Chillderness Red Kite Glamping is its peaceful, rural location. It lends itself to a break filled with outdoor activities – hiking boots are therefore a must! With walks from the door, head off across the moorland to the Red Lion. Allegedly the oldest pub in Powys, it offers an excellent pub lunch. Or if you feel like heading away from civilisation? Explore the remote Elenydd region of the Cambrian Mountains, situated behind the Red Kite estate. If you fancy going a little further afield, the village of Newbridge on Wye is a ten minute drive away. With the town of Llandrindod Wells being around twenty minutes by car.
