Elevated above the dramatic heritage coast of the Hartland Peninsula lies a haven of  tranquillity, perfect for family escapes. The bright coastal light leads you through dappled country lanes to ten Award Winning luxury Coastal Cabins, a fishing lake and panoramic Atlantic views. Beach hut charm meets roundhouse cosiness, with comfort and all the mod-cons, this is the ultimate seaside glamping retreat.

Coastal Cabins are designed to bring ease and comfort to outdoor life, with the right mix of privacy and a communal camping feel that the children will adore. Most of our happiest childhood memories are of time spent outdoors – you can all look back on holidays here and remember your chilled out vibes too! Eight of the cabins sleep 4 people,  while two sleep 2-3 with a sofa bed for one child. Perfect for extended family or multi-family breaks. Wander barefoot for morning coffee on each other’s deck while the children forage for new friends. Or, catch up over a glass of bubbly in the hot tub, leaving the on-site babysitter to awe at today’s shell and driftwood collection or read the bedtime story.

Wave goodbye to crawling around in a tent and embrace the light and clean feel of these cleverly arranged cabins. Packed with all the creature comforts you’d require. Easy living in these timber decked make believe houses will take you back to carefree days and simpler ways – telling jokes and playing games – far away from the demands of life by the clock. After breathing in the vistas from the coast path or infusing yourselves with sea air at the beach, wash off those sandy toes in the stylish en-suite bathroom. Then, sink into the generous king-sized bed adorned with crisp linens. With bunk beds or a sofa bed to tuck them into, the children will soon be yawning, leaving the adults to enjoy the night sky with a glass of wine on your private deck.

Outside

The tranquil fishing lake offers unlimited Tench, Rudd and Carp fishing for those who fancy  it, or simply meditative reflections near the calm waters. A safety fence around the perimeter allows peace of mind while children explore nature walks around the bank, and play hide and seek among the long shadows of a summer evening. Get sizzling with a barbeque on your deck or, for a chat while you cook, head over to the communal barbeque cabin.  Constructed from sustainable timber around a central chimney it has an ancestral feel with a plentiful supply of logs and cushions. For an extra treat, book a* ‘Wild Spa’ hot tub to soak tired muscles after an exhilarating coastal excursion. You’re sure to sink into holiday heaven, gazing out to sea; the stresses of life will be a distant memory.

The lively seas and cream teas of the Hartland Peninsula AONB await. The South West Coast Path is only a few fields away, with pubs and eateries of Hartland Village just 1.25 miles inland. The popular Pattard Restaurant is just a five minute walk away from the Coastal Cabins if cooking isn’t on the agenda.

The Hartland Peninsula offers a plentiful choice of secluded coves and beaches. Rich with history and natural wonders such as the cascades at Spekes Mill Mouth and Welcombe Mouth Beach. The World famous tumbling cobbled streets of Clovelly are just a short journey away by car. Not forgetting the popular seaside town of Bude is within easy reach, voted as one of the Best UK Coastal Resorts. A plethora of stunning beaches, independent shops and restaurants can be enjoyed in Bude.

The picturesque seaside village of Westward Ho! also has a large beach with plentiful amenities. This quaint village inspired the famous author Rudyard Kipling, who went to school there. Pick up one of his books at the treasure trove Walter Henry’s independent bookstore or take a dip at the Westward Ho! Sea Pool. For water sports there’s the North Devon Surf School or North Devon Wake Park to name a few. There’s family fun to be had at The Milky Way theme park, The Big Sheep and The Eden Project is a day trip not to be missed.
