Nestled at the edge of Radnor Forest in the Cascob Valley is Cwm Cottage Shepherd’s Hut. Occupying a secluded location on a working farm, where your closest neighbours are the sheep.

Located just eight miles across the English/Welsh border in Powys, Mid Wales. This is the ideal location for those who love the outdoors. With no pesky Wi-Fi and limited phone signal, Cwm Cottage Shepherd’s Hut physically removes you from modern life. Instead experience living in a cosy home for two (up to two dogs are welcome to join you too). With night skies uninhibited by the orange glow of city life. And fields and hills wide open and ripe for exploration.

Spend your days trekking the countryside, perhaps enjoy a pub lunch. Or an amble around the nearest town, Presteigne. Your time is your own, simply slow down and relax.

Inside

Cosy and idyllic, Cwm Cottage Shepherd’s Hut ticks all the boxes for a romantic break for two. Bright white panelling and warm wood accents lift the space and create a homely vibe. To one side, you’ll find your comfortable king size bed. While the centre of the hut is dedicated to the kitchen and dining space. The blue toned kitchen has a heritage feel to it. Coming well equipped with an oven, dual hob, grill and a kettle. And to complete the luxury glamping experience is the ensuite shower room. With books and board games to entertain on a dark and rainy evening, this is a beautifully curated space.

Outside

Park up the car and clamber the stairs up to Cwm Cottage Shepherd’s Hut. The completely private, enclosed outdoor space is the perfect vantage point for those views. Spanning across rolling green fields and hills there is no better place to enjoy your morning cup of tea. Dine al fresco at the dining set, complete with parasol (if the Welsh sun decides to shine). While the fire pit keeps the chill away in the evening. Also ideal for toasting marshmallows to gooey perfection!

Nearby

The beauty of Radnor Forest surrounds Cwm Cottage Shepherd’s Hut, and so a walk among the trees is a must. A short walk from the doorstep, and you’ll be hugging those trees. For those who love historical buildings, Judges Lodge is something a little different, around ten minutes away. After a downpour, you may get to see the incredible Water-Break-its-Neck waterfall at its very best (twenty minutes). Ludlow is forty minutes away, and a great place for foodies. With Ludlow Castle also being a major attraction. At the heart of the Cambrian Mountains is Elan Valley. By foot or on wheels, this is an incredible landscape to discover (fifty minutes).
