Inside

The Derbyshire Hills Shepherd’s Hut is a touch of class. A high quality renovation has created an elegant and contemporary space. Glazed double doors flood the surprisingly spacious carriage with light, further enhanced with the reflection off the pristine white walls. Sat directly opposite of the doors is the perfectly located, and very stylish sofa, making the most of the views. To the right of the sofa, you’ll find the well-equipped kitchenette. With a small fridge, electric hob, toaster and kettle, it’s ideal for whizzing up simple meals and snacks. Freshen up before bed with a hot shower in your private ensuite shower room. Before retiring to your cosy double bed. Settle down with a great movie on the Smart TV (Wi-Fi included) while waking up to the most gorgeous of views through the picture window.

Outside

The Derbyshire Hills Shepherds Hut is tucked away in a remote corner of a small campsite. Privacy is guaranteed with the traditional dry stone wall surrounding the private garden. Feast your eyes on the incredible views across the Peak District, while partaking in a beverage or two. Rustle up dinner for two on the barbeque and enjoy dining al fresco on the outdoor furniture.

There is no shortage of things to see and do at Derbyshire Hills Shepherd’s Hut! Hike to your heart’s content with the Peak District National Park being just a few miles away. Chatsworth House is a must visit. The inspiration for Pemberley in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, it has since been used as a filming location for adaptations. With a beautiful house and extensive gardens, plus a maze to explore, it’s a lovely day out. For those who enjoy a potter around a pretty town, the market town of Bakewell, the house of the Bakewell Tart, is a fifteen minute drive. With the spa town of Buxton being around twenty minutes away. If you prefer something a little more adrenaline fuelled, pack a picnic and head to the Rother Valley Country Park. Hire a bike and explore the park on two wheels. Or make a splash with the water sports on offer. Get competitive at the Aqua Park, try your hand at the Cable Ski. Or get out on the water with sailing, windsurfing and paddleboarding all available.
