About

Quite literally escape to the country and enjoy returning to nature – but in pure comfort. Ensuring that all would-be campers are happy glampers.

Tucked away into a hidey-hole in the woodland is Exe Valley Glamping. Situated amidst one hundred and fifty acres of family farmland in the beautiful county of Devon. A collection of luxurious safari tents each doing their bit to wave the flag for responsible and sustainable tourism. Completely off-grid, but still coming complete with everything you might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Each tent is powered through natural means; solar energy, a wood burning stove, even the water is filtered groundwater. Every effort has been made to negate the negative impact of tourism and give back to the environment. Families, friends and your furry pals are welcome to experience this magical getaway. Forget about your every day and truly escape.

Inside

The interior of your safari tent at Exe Valley Glamping is kept as natural as possible, with wooden accents throughout. Walk into your open plan living space, including a sofa and a small kitchen area. With a woodburning stove for heat and cooking, a small, energy efficient fridge and a gas hob. Sleeping a maximum of six people, you’ll find three bedrooms; a king size bedroom and a twin/super king bedroom. And an incredibly cute hideaway double bed within a cabin space. Kids will very likely commandeer this as their very own den! You also have your own flushing loo, and a shower. Again, all powered by solar energy with water provided from a natural groundwater source.

Outside

Step out of your open plan living space and onto your elevated veranda. Look across the expanse of meadow, to the woodland and the rolling hills beyond. Seat yourself on the outdoor chairs as you catch up with your fellow guests. Let the kids explore the area safely; testing out the swings and hammocks. Or even just running free in the expanse of grassland surrounding you. Cook al fresco on the BBQ grill/fire pit. Before taking your meal at the outdoor dining set on the veranda. As the air turns cooler, remove the grill and get the flames burning to take away the chill.

Nearby

If you can bear to leave your sanctuary at Exe Valley Glamping, you’ll find the area overflowing with things to do! Those keen to continue the outdoorsy theme of their break are in for a treat. Try the many walking and cycling trails or head to one of the many beaches. Horse ride in Exmoor or swing from the trees at Go Ape Haldon Forest. For those really keen to do something a little different? Head to The Bear Trail at Cullompton. A fantastic and very muddy adventure assault course for the whole family! For a more sedate day out, head north to Tiverton. A charming town with medieval roots, step back in time as you explore the town and the imposing Tiverton Castle. Or head south to Exeter. A cathedral city, with its unique underground passages being a highlight for visitors.
