You could even band together and hire all four cabins and enjoy exclusive use of the entire site. Ideal for those special occasions and milestones.

But even with all the mod cons to hand, glamping may not be for everyone. If bricks and mortar are non-negotiable, don’t fear! The Ffynnonau Annex is the perfect bolthole for two. And the location is sublime. Situated on the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. Scale mountains, discover waterfalls and simply enjoy getting back to nature.

Inside

Each of the homely woodland cabins at Ffynnonau are individually styled to perfection. Enter into the open plan living space. A lounge area, which has a sofa. Light the log burning stove with the complimentary basket of wood with kindling and fire lighters and enjoy catching up on the latest trends on Netflix on the Smart TV. There is also a dining space and kitchen area. You’ll find everything you need to create simple meals. Coming with a kettle, toaster, hob, combination microwave oven and grill, plus a fridge with a small freezer compartment. In the rear you’ll find two king size beds, one of which is hidden away on a cool hidey-hole mezzanine floor. You also have your own ensuite shower room, ideal for freshening up after a hectic day enjoying the great outdoors.

And if glamping isn’t your cup of tea, a romantic break at the Ffynnonau Annex might be a bit of you. Lovely and cosy, this two up two down is a pint sized house is surprisingly spacious. Downstairs you have a lounge and kitchen with underfloor heating, with a king sized bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

Outside

Enjoy your morning cuppa al fresco from the lounge chair on your porch. Sample a slap up cooked breakfast courtesy of the barbecue. Devour at the outdoor seating area, undercover so dining outside can be enjoyed come rain or shine. And after a long day out on your feet, it’s time to take a load off. Get your outdoor bathwater toasty warm and sink in for a long soak. And top off a relaxing evening with a lovely cuddle around the firepit beneath a twinkling night sky.

With the amazing location of Ffynnonau Woodland Cabins, exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park is a must. Keen hikers may be up for the challenge of Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in the park. If you prefer to take in the scenery in a more relaxing way, take a river cruise on the Monmouth to Brecon Canal. Or stay warm and dry on the Brecon Mountain Railway. Stay closer to your cabin and explore the nearby town of Brecon, just a few minutes’ drive away. With a cinema, theatre, cathedral, castle ruins as well as plenty of restaurants and shop, it will fill a day at the very least! Families will love Cantref Adventure Farm, around fifteen minutes away. While the grown-ups may be tempted to take a tour of Penderyn Distillery and sample their wares. Just over half an hour away, it may be wise to hire a minibus, so no one misses out on wysgi tasting!
