A stay at George’s Getaway is destined to be unforgettable. A unique lodge filled with quirky features situated in a beautiful Cotswold location.
Based on a working farm on the north-eastern tip of the Cotswolds is George’s Getaway. Perfect accommodation for groups of friends, larger or extended families. Nestled into the fold of a hill, this little hideaway is sure to delight. A spacious design lends itself to socialising, with quality time together being the order of the day. Whether you’d like to join in with the fun of board games. Or slope off for some peace with a pair of binoculars to watch the local wildlife. There is something here for you. Sleeping a maximum of six adults, plus two under 12s and an additional infant in a cot. The sleeping situation is entirely unique, with two lucky adults being able to literally sleep beneath the stars. More on that later!
The central area of George’s Getaway forms the open plan living/dining space leading into the stylish and well-equipped kitchen. Here you’ll find everything you need for your self-catering break. You just need to bring the food and drink! At the living end of the family space, you’ll find the master bedroom. A king-sized bed, with cool freestanding twin bathtubs. Just soak in the tub and roll into bed! There is also a separate loo. At the other end of the property is the family suite. A king bedroom, with a spacious corner bath leads into a ‘Jack and Jill’ shower room with loo. Then on into a twin bedroom. Giraffe themed, the small single beds are perfect for under 12s. As for the third bedroom, read on…..
Super quirky, the third bedroom is housed in the outside geodesic dome. Elevated on a 4m platform, you’re literally sleeping beneath the stars. Heated to be warm and cosy all year round, imagine snuggling on that super-king circular bed. For those interested in getting a bit closer to the stars, there’s even a telescope to hand. And there’s plenty for the rest of the group to enjoy outside too. Outdoor dining on the decking. Or weather-proof those BBQ plans with the eight seater BBQ hut. And after a day of exploration, soak those aching muscles in the warm bubbles of your private hot tub. With seating for seven, no one needs to be left out in the cold.
Surrounded by the vast beauty of the Cotswolds, you’re going to want to get out there to see it! An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are an abundance of walks and natural sights to see. Walk through picturesque villages and sample country pubs. For more formal days out, just twenty-five minutes away is the impressive Warwick Castle. With something to spark the imagination of all ages, it’s an amazing day out. And families should make time to visit St Nicholas Park opposite too. For more history, Blenheim Palace is just thirty-five minutes away. And for lovers of non-spooky spirits – The Cotswolds Distillery offers experiences and tastings for the grown ups in your party.
