Located on a hillside with views across the North Cornish coastline in Bude is Gwelva Hills Lodges. Nine purpose built self-catering lodges which are picture perfect in every way. Named for local beaches and beauty spots, they sleep between four and six guests in either two or three bedrooms. Ideal for a family holiday, a get together with friends, or even a romantic break. With four of the lodges being dog friendly, you can even bring your fur baby along.

A stay in Bude is the perfect location for keen surfers of any level. With kayakers and paddleboarders also taken care of, either by sea or on the Bude canal. Outdoor adventurers will be pleased by the coasteering opportunities. And the town itself is charming, with many independent shops to stroll around. And of course, Gwelva Hills Lodges also serves as the perfect base for exploring Cornwall beyond Bude.

Taking their interior inspiration directly from the coastal hues surrounding them, Gwelva Hills Lodges offer a stylish yet soothing vibe. At the beating heart of each lodge is the open plan living space. Maximising togetherness in one beautiful space, with the expanse of glazing pulling the outside in. The well equipped kitchen comes with everything you would expect, with quality Miele appliances. Including a dishwasher, as no one wants to take their marigolds on holiday! Meanwhile, if there is a need to put on a load of washing, the utility houses a washer and dryer. The dining table seats your whole party, and is perfect for feasts, board games and strategic itinerary planning for your break. The cosy seating area is huddled around the wood burning stove, with an optimal view of the Smart TV. And each lodge comes with either two or three bedrooms, with a zip/link option for the twin bedroom. And there’ll be no queue for the loo, with each bedroom having its own ensuite.

Outside

Slide open those glazed doors onto your private decking. Be sure to take out a mug or glass of your preferred beverage, because you’ll soon be lost in those views! The hillside location offers the perfect vantage point of the North Cornish coast towards Bude. And it’s a truly enchanting sight. If the British weather plays ball, there is no more perfect spot to sit. Cook under open skies at the barbecue. And dine al fresco at the cubed outdoor furniture. And being a part of the larger Wooda holiday park, you also have access to all the site has to offer (season dependent). This includes a children’s play park, a dog exercise field, tennis and badminton courts, a games room, art gallery and gym. Treat yourself to a relaxing hour or two at the Wellness Barn. The beautiful town of Bude is brilliantly located for exploring Cornwall and beyond. For families there’s lots of choice for days out. In summer, head to Bude Monster Slip and Slide for water based fun in abundance. The Milky Way is a fabulous family amusement park with plenty to see and do, just twenty minutes away. With the well-known The Big Sheep and Trethorne Leisure Farm both being around thirty minutes away. And highly recommended is The Hidden Valley, a fascinating day out with its puzzle-like mansion, also thirty minutes away. For a touch of myth, Tintagel with all its links to King Arthur and Merlin, is forty minutes away. Or head across the county border to Clovelly and discover a charming fishing village practically untouched by time. And slightly further afield, is the world famous Eden Project. Just over an hour away, it is well worth a visit.
