Take the time to focus on what’s really important at this gorgeous rural retreat.
This perfect cabin for two is situated in idyllic isolation among fields and meadows where wildlife is plentiful. Located on a working farm amidst the glorious Devon countryside, Holly Water Cabin is the ultimate rural escape. Comfort and stripped back luxuries are the main priorities. This bespoke cabin is designed to immerse you in nature with a huge emphasis on outdoor living.
Occupying a peaceful riverside spot, it’s a mini paradise built just for two. A space in which you can enjoy one another’s company without distraction, surrounded by endless beauty.
And if all that beauty isn’t enough, there’s the stunning county of Devon to explore. Whether you’re looking for outdoor activities, attractions, picturesque towns and villages. Devon has it all.
The giant sliding doors of Holly Water Cabin glide back to reveal a stylish, pared back studio style living space. The interior is finished in clay plaster and wood, keeping the space bright and light, and ensuring the natural world is reflected in the decor. A comfy sofa for two is perfect for snuggling in front of the woodburning stove. The well-equipped kitchen comes with everything you’ll need to whip up a romantic meal for two, which you can enjoy at the dining table. There’s a stylish bathroom with walk-in shower and fluffy towels and robes are provided. And after a busy day, you’ll be more than ready to dive beneath the duvet of your king size bed.
The beauty of the giant sliding doors is that with one swift movement, the outdoor decking becomes another room. Shaded (or sheltered, depending on how lucky you are with the weather) beneath the roof canopy is the fabulous deck. It is here you’ll be keen to spend most of your time. Get lost in a good book on the bench or while away your time scanning the lovely countryside views from the loungers. You can even take your cooking outdoors, with a brilliant campfire area just across the stream. Or simply get the fire bowl burning to sit by and toast marshmallows. Best of all is the glorious freestanding copper bath tub – depending on the time of day, enjoy the dawn chorus, watch the wildlife go by or indulge in some serious star gazing as you soak.
Holly Water Cabin is well placed for far more than quiet contemplation. Within 30 minutes drive you could be exploring the National Trust properties, Knightshayes or Killterton where there’s plenty to do. A little further afield is the city of Exeter, its rich history dates back to Roman times meaning it’s paradise for history buffs. Exeter Cathedral and the unique Underground Passages are a must see and the Quayside area is buzzing with bars and restaurants. Holly Water Cabin is equidistant for both Dartmoor and Exmoor, which provide endless walking, exploring and wild swimming opportunities. Or if you fancy a day trip to the beach, within ninety minutes you could be at one of the many gorgeous beaches in North Devon, such as stunning Saunton Sands or Putsborough.
Couples looking for peaceful isolation and outdoor living, without compromising on luxury.
