About

Are you ready for a completely unique glamping break?

Kudhva is no ordinary holiday destination, it is an experience. Curated to showcase the benefits of outdoor living connecting you directly with nature. All the while the impact on the environment is lessened with their off grid ethos and respectful use of renewable energy where necessary.

Based within a forty-five acre bio-dynamic site in Cornwall, this is a slate quarry turned ‘landscape hotel’. A monument to industry, it is being reclaimed by nature, making for wild, rugged terrain, awe inspiring in its beauty. As you’d expect, outdoor living is held in the highest esteem. The off grid nature of each accommodation means that essential facilities are provided in a communal space. This creates a lovely community feel for like-minded guests to come together.

Select a tipi for up to two (or a TP as they are known here) on the hillside with Atlantic Ocean views. Or couple up in the treehouse-like Kudhva cabins. These completely unique compact structures are built to showcase their breathtaking natural surroundings. Or for a larger group, friends, or perhaps a family, you could select the beautiful Danish Cabin.

Inside

Kudhva is all about the outdoors, and so the inside is stripped back and minimal. Escape into the warm, protective walls of your tipi and snuggle into the double bed. Or clamber up to your mezzanine bunk in your Kudhva cabin. Below which you’ll find a sofa area below. This is the ideal spot to laze in front of the ceiling to floor glazing, framing those views to perfection. Or, perhaps you’re a larger party? Sleeping six people is The Danish Cabin. Downstairs you’ll find sofas by day and beds by night for two. With a bunk room for four upstairs.
And away from your accommodation you’ll find the Reception Barn. With large feasting tables and benches, plus cooking facilities and all the cookware and crockery you’ll need. In addition, you’ll have access to refrigerators with boxes assigned to each accommodation for storing chilled goods. It is also here that you’ll find the showers, flushing loos and plug sockets.

Outside

Whether you select a TP, Kudhva Cabin or The Danish Cabin your immediate surroundings are idyllic. The hillside location of the TPs makes for a stunning viewpoint out across the Atlantic Ocean. And the shared firepit site is ideal for cooking al fresco and keeping warm beneath the stars. If you’re in a cabin, you’ll have your own private woodland location. Elevated to enjoy a unique tree line view. And if you’re looking for complete seclusion, select K4. Each cabin has the benefit of its own private fire pit seating area. And if you’re staying in The Danish Cabin, it’s difficult to imagine anywhere more beautiful. Sitting above a stunning waterfall, it occupies its own valley. Imagine swaying gently in one of the swing seats with the soothing sound of the stream lapping beneath you. With an outdoor bar area and expanse of outdoor space. Meditate or practice yoga. Read or simply takes it all in. Whatever you choose to do, this is a place for deep relaxation and connection.

Nearby

If you’re coming to Kudhva to escape you may well be content to stay on site, hire the wood fired hot tub and relax. Or you may wish to be more active. Take a short walk from the site and explore the dramatic North Cornish coastline. The local beach, Trebarwith Strand is ideal for a peaceful day by the sea. Or head further afield and discover hidden, remote beaches. You could even try your hand at kayaking, surfing, or even coasteering and climbing. If you are fascinated by local mythology, Tintagel is a must visit, being just ten minutes away. The birthplace of the mythical King Arthur, roam about the ruins of Tintagel Castle. Beneath which is Merlin’s Cave, which is explorable at low tide. In keeping with the theme, head to The Vale of Avalon, just five minutes away, for a family friendly day out.
