Set across three floors, Oakwood House has five bedrooms, each coming with its own ensuite and Smart TV. The first floor being the hub of this home. The open plan layout makes entertaining a breeze. And when you wish to break free of the house and explore the area, you’re in luck. With a huge range of attractions within an easy driving distance, there is something to please the whole group. From outdoor pursuits, to family fun and everything in between. And at the end of the day, there’s a village pub (The Gate Inn) within walking distance, what could be better!?

Inside

Set over three floors, Oakwood House is a striking contemporary home. Modern and spacious it will breathe fresh air into your break. The ground floor houses two bedrooms and their respective en suites. Both have a super king size bed (zip/link for flexibility) as well as an additional single bed apiece. Ideal for families or the children. On the first floor is the most amazing open plan space for entertaining. A gorgeous sitting room, with a Smart TV – a must for movie night. A dining space, leading around and into the large and stylish kitchen. With an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is even a utility space with three washing machines and two tumble dryers. Ideal for those laundry emergencies! On the second floor, you’ll find the final three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king bed with views across the valley, while there is a further super king bedroom with a zip/link option And finally, a king size bedroom. All bedrooms have their own en suite shower rooms, with the master having the added benefit of both a bath and a shower.

Outside

The outside space at Oakwood House is unusual, yet beautiful. From the front of the house, you can enjoy your morning cup of tea from the balcony. Head out of the doors off the sitting room and luxuriate in the stunning views. To the rear of the property, you have a private patio space with furniture – ideal for al fresco dining when the weather is behaving. From this space, a rock garden graduates upwards, leading to an expanse of lawn which overlooks fields and countryside. Fully enclosed, this garden is not only perfect for exploring youngsters, but up to two dogs are welcome too. They have even installed a warm water dog wash outside so you can clean off after a muddy walk. And those views over the rooftops from the lawn are simply sensational and definitely worth the small climb!

Nearby

Oakwood House occupies a fantastic location with so much to see out and about. Outdoor enthusiasts may well be content to simply explore the many walking and cycling routes within the Peak District National Park. Or within twenty minutes or less, you are spoiled for choice. Matlock Bath is just minutes away, as is the well-known attraction The Heights of Abraham. Park up the car and travel to the hilltop estate by cable car. Spend the day here with a restaurant, cafe and bars, as well as playgrounds and plenty of heritage sites to explore. Chatsworth House is a must visit, especially for those who love Austen. Chatsworth is said to be the inspiration for Mr Darcy’s Pemberley. Families will love some fun at Gulliver’s Kingdom. While young animal lovers will enjoy a day out at Matlock Farm Park.
