Located in the small Devon fishing village of Beer, is Starre Barn. A beautiful self-contained annexe, it has been recently renovated to an exacting standard.
Ideal for a romantic getaway, Starre Barn sleeps two people in the gorgeous king sized bedroom. However, with a sofa bed in the lounge area, it could also be suitable for a small family.
Situated just a few minutes’ walk from the pebbled beach of Beer, it offers a stunning seaside escape. And being located on the Jurassic Coast, with the wider county of Devon and beyond to explore. You will be spoiled for choice in terms of things to do.
With a vaulted ceiling, Starre Barn feels all at once cosy, yet spacious. White walls are beautifully complemented with blue and wood tones, creating a classic, heritage feel befitting of the space. The open plan living space offers a lounge area complete with a Smart TV for a quiet evening in. The well-equipped fitted kitchen benefits from a breakfast bar. As well as an oven, hob, dishwasher, wash/dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and a coffee maker. The lovely king sized bedroom has an incredible freestanding cast iron bath – ideal for a luxurious soak. Although if your preference is for a shower, there is also a separate shower room. Quality emanates from every crevice in this gorgeous barn conversion.
One of the huge benefits of staying at Starre Barn is the free onsite parking. And if you drive an electric vehicle, you’re sorted with the EV charger. While your car is charging overnight, you can relax on your patio. Enclosed and overlooking the gardens belonging to Starre House next door. It’s a quiet spot to grab and drink and reflect on your day. In nicer weather, dine al fresco at the dining table. Or if you’re really lucky, recline on the lounger and soak up those rays.
Brilliantly located, Starre Barn has plenty to see and do locally to keep you more than busy! The fishing village of Beer is unspoilt and off the beaten path, yet has plenty to recommend it. Locally owned shops and eateries, as well as the Beer Quarry Caves. Take guided tours of these fascinating two thousand year old man-made caverns. Nearby Seaton is a great place to start your fossil finding adventures. Jurassic Discovery is in the heart of Seaton is just a five minute drive from Beer. Slightly further afield is Lyme Regis, a vibrant seaside resort, just twenty minutes away by car. Or if you fancy heading inland, explore the beautiful Blackdown Hills AONB, around a thirty minute drive away.
