Hidden in the quiet hamlet of Downton, just outside the riverside village of Dittisham and on the doorstep of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Barns @ Downton is a stunning eco-conscious retreat perfect for families or groups of up to six. This stylish three-bedroom barn is an idyllic base for exploring Dartmouth, the River Dart, and the surrounding countryside and coast.

Inside

Inside this beautifully converted space, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The home is arranged across three interconnected stone barns, starting with a spacious entrance hall and a handy utility room with laundry facilities and extra fridge space. The expansive living room is designed for sociable moments and cosy nights in, featuring three distinct seating areas: a wood-burning stove, Smart TV with PlayStation 4, and soundbar for streaming; a quiet reading nook with armchairs; and a dedicated workspace with wired internet.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area is equally impressive, with vaulted ceilings, a central island, breakfast bar, and a large dining table. Equipped with high-spec appliances including double ovens, a microwave, fridge freezer, induction hob, dishwasher, and Lavazza coffee machine, it’s a dream for any budding chef. Two flexible ground-floor bedrooms with zip-and-link beds can be made up as twins or doubles and share a stylish family bathroom with a walk-in shower.
