Situated in the majestic shadow of medieval Duffus Castle. This gorgeous eco-cabin brings a sustainable vision to this historic Scottish estate.

With direct ancestral links dating back to the late 1600s, the Duffus Estate is well-loved by the Dunbar family. With beautiful ambitions to plant up an extensive 27 acres with orchards, wild flowers as well as reintroduce a natural wetland area, the Estate is a haven for wildlife, including the resident red squirrels. This is a very special corner of Scotland. With fourteen acres of woodland and numerous trails to explore from the doorstep, it’s a chance to reconnect with nature. Animal lovers in particular will adore spotting the many furry and feathered inhabitants. This is a remote, wonderous place to slow your pace of life and truly live in the moment. Pack up your favourite loved one, not forgetting the pooch and practise the ultimate in self-care. Slow down, take time to reflect, catch your breath and enjoy.

The area local to the Cabin by the Castle is heaven for whiskey connoisseurs, with the region of Moray famed for its many distilleries. In nearby Elgin, Glen Moray offers tours and ‘tasting flights’ via the visitor centre. For something a little more outdoorsy, head to the globally acclaimed deserted beaches just five minutes away. Voted among the best in the world by the National Geographic Society, they are a must-visit. If you’re lucky you may even spot a resident bottlenose dolphin or minke whale. To find out more about the local area, and the wider world take a visit to Elgin Museum, Scotland’s oldest independent museum. Or discover the ruin of Elgin Cathedral.
