About

Probably the best location you could ever imagine….

Situated within the Cotswolds, on the outskirts of the small Gloucestershire village of Gretton, are The Huts. Comprising three fabulously appointed and super-stylish shepherd’s huts. Presiding over views of the Cotswold landscape, including the Vale of Evesham with the Malvern Hills in the distance. They are truly idyllic, yet in no way are these off grid. Located in the wider grounds of the village country pub, The Royal Oak. They offer a pub within stumbling distance alongside perfect peace and tranquillity. Set within their own private field, they encapsulate the best of both worlds.

Sleeping a maximum of two people each, plus a dog, Overbury, Bredon and Dumbleton provide a cosy space in which to unwind. Small but mighty, each hut is both practical and beautiful. Ideal for adventure loving couples looking for a romantic break. Perhaps you’re looking to challenge yourself with a walk along the Cotswold Way. Or simply see all the beautiful sights and attractions the area has to offer. Thinking of going away as a group? Not a problem, you can book all three Shepherd’s Huts at the same time. Perfect for a group that enjoys walking or cycling.

Inside

Impeccably styled with an industrial theme, The Huts are quite simply fabulous. You’ll feel you’ve stepped into the past, with the drama of the dark hues creating something rather special. Enter via the centrally located door into the living space. Here you will find the kitchenette. Equipped with a dual induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, kettle toaster, and a Nespresso coffee machine. The hosts provide guests with a wholesome homemade granola, perfect with yogurt for a quick and delicious breakfast! Dine in the seating area and watch the television (Wi-Fi is included). Or simply enjoy a quiet evening with the roaring log burner setting a romantic tone. This living space is sandwiched between the comfortable king sized bedroom to one side. With the lovely ensuite shower room to the other. Everything you could need for a simple yet luxurious break.

Outside

If the weather is playing ball, you’ll be keen to spend as much time with that view as possible. Each of The Huts have the benefit of outdoor furniture, as well as a firepit for warming up a chilly evening. For competitive couples, down at the pub, you’ll find a tennis and pickleball court. While for those who are looking for even more luxury, Dumbleton goes that little bit further. Coming with its own private bath housing a sumptuous Hurlingham copper bath. Bathe to your heart’s content with those stunning views to set the most perfect of scenes.

Nearby

Should you wish to leave the comfort of The Huts, you are in luck. The area is bursting with things to see and do. If you enjoy wandering around historic homes, within a ten minute drive there are two; Sudeley Castle and Stanway House.  The idyllic villages of Broadway, Guiting Power and Stow on the Wold are on it’s doorstep. While a heritage steam train ride through the Cotswolds is a brilliant way to see the landscape. Head to the northernmost station at Broadway, just over a ten minute drive away or head down to Toddington station a 2 minute drive away.  If all the nature and countryside is getting too much, head to Cheltenham. A Regency spa town, make sure to visit the iconic Pittville Pump Room. Or if your visit coincides, enjoy one of the many festivals which take place in the town each year.
