Scattered around this expansive woodland and huddled away in between the trees, a restful and intimate getaway is on offer at Trallwm. Inside

There is a wonderful selection of Cottages to choose from, most with origins dating back to the 17th & 18th century. For those looking for a charming cottage that can sleep up to four guests then choose from: Kestrel, Red Kite, Tawny Owl or Nant Carreg Cottage. With the addition of Heron Cottage which can sleep two adults and two children. Lovingly renovated whilst maintaining original features such as exposed beams, this collection oozes quintessential country charm and a homely environment. Each of these cottages have adorable fully equipped kitchens, two bedrooms with hotel quality beds adorned with luxurious linen, contemporary bathrooms, wood burning stoves and comfy sofas for cwtching down on after a busy day.

For those seeking a romantic break in Wales choose from either Magpie, Raven, Siskin or Heron Cottage. Heron Cottage offers more of a cabin in the woods style. This delightful assortment of cottages offer a traditional countryside cottage experience but with a contemporary twist. Cook up some romantic date night meals in the modern kitchens, take a Hollywood shower in the stylish bathrooms or enjoy a bit of peace and quiet and find a sunny spot to read a good book.

Guests at Trallwm Forest Cottages have access to over 400 acres of private woodland. Chill the fizz and clink glasses, as you watch the kids run wild and free on the lawns. And don’t let your four-legged friends miss out – they’re very welcome too. For the grown ups, a relaxing soak in the wood fired hot tub will melt away any stress. All of the retreats feature this added luxury apart from Raven Cottage, which has a glorious outdoor roll top bath. Watch the sunset – or the sunrise if you’re an early bird- from your private decking areas and make the most of dining alfresco during the warmer weather.

Trallwm Forest Cottages is the perfect choice for the lovers of the great outdoors. Choose to revel in your cosy abode or set out on an adventure in the surrounding areas. For the keen cyclists amongst us there are four mountain bike trails to tackle right from your doorstep. The smaller guests may enjoy tackling the playground assault course or finding the ten woodland animals on the wildlife trail. If your four legged best friend needs tiring out rather than the kids, discover some of the 15km of woodland trails. If relaxing in style is more your thing, treat yourself to a reflexology treatment or a soothing hot stone massage.

Venture slightly further afield and discover some of the best spots in Wales!  Take a gentle stroll around Elan Valley Dams or a more challenging ramble around Devil’s bridge. Or, if you’re looking for a challenge, try scaling the second highest peak in Wales, Pen Y Fan. Peruse the independent shops and cafes in Builth Wells, famous for being the home of The Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. Llanwrtyd Wells is only seven miles away from Trallwm Forest Cottages and also has various annual events including Bog Snorkelling, Man V Horse and Real Ale Wobble.
