Located in the scenic hamlet of Lower Chapel in the heart of Wales, is Vale Farm Cottages. Situated on a traditional working family farm, Vale Farm offers guests beautiful scenery, characterful accommodation and an indoor heated swimming pool. With Welsh countryside views out towards the Brecon Beacons, this location is all about appreciating the great outdoors.

The two farmhouses, Vale Farmhouse and Vale Rowan have four bedrooms each, sleeping ten and nine respectively. Meanwhile, the remaining four properties are all cottages. Renovated former barns which sit around a courtyard. Vale Oak is the largest, sleeping seven people in three bedrooms. These three larger properties have two bathrooms each and offer flexible formations in the bedrooms. Vale Walnut sleeps 4, comprising two bedrooms, one on the first floor and one on the ground floor, an open-plan kitchen/dining and living area and bathroom. Hornbeam, Chestnut and Wild Cherry sleep four people apiece. Consisting of open-plan kitchen/dining and living area, one bedroom each, with two doubles plus a bathroom. All properties include a well-equipped kitchen with an oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. All the properties are dog friendly too, so there is space for the whole family!

Vale Farm Cottages is ideal for a family break. Team up with friends and family, perhaps sharing the farmhouse. Or even multiple families or friends in different cottages. Guests have access to the indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub during their stay, open all year round. Coppice Function Room onsite and available to hire, offering options for special events. Family reunions, anniversaries or special birthdays. This is a beautiful location for a memorable break.

Inside

Comfortable and cosy, Vale Farm Cottages offers stylish accommodation with a range of facilities. Vale Farmhouse and Rowan each offer laundry facilities – ideal if you’re travelling with young children! With a range oven, American fridge freezer, dishwasher and separate drinks fridge in the kitchens. Settle in front of the log burner at Vale Farmhouse or enjoy the far reaching views from the conservatory. While the light filled sitting room in Vale Rowan is bound to be a favourite spot.

Meanwhile, the cottages are sympathetically renovated with beautiful character features. The largest, Oak, has a fantastic open living and dining kitchen space, warmed with a large log burner. While Walnut is the most accessible property. With a large ground floor bedroom and wet room, featuring wider entranceways. The little attic twin bedroom is super cute too! Lastly, Chestnut, Hornbeam and Wild Cherry are all ‘upside down’ cottages. Their upstairs open plan living, dining and kitchen spaces opening out onto those stunning views.

Outside

Vale Farm Cottages offers an abundance of space! All properties enjoy access to a children’s play area, plus space to burn off their energy! There is also a shared indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub. Open year round, it’s the perfect antidote to a rainy day.

Individually, both of the farmhouses have outdoor patio space with dining furniture as well as private hot tubs. While the smaller cottages Hornbeam, Chestnut and Wild Cherry share a wide interconnecting balcony. Furnished, it’s especially great for when families or friends are holidaying together. Pop the kids to bed, and the grown ups can enjoy a drink together while enjoying those dark skies.

Nearby

Vale Farm Cottages, despite its rural location, is surrounded by things to see and do. Make sure you pack your hiking boots, because you’ll be on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Brecon, a historic market town, is around a ten minute drive and has its own Cathedral. For those who enjoy an activity based holiday, Llangorse Activity Centre is around thirty minutes away. While cyclists will be pleased to know Bike Park Wales is just over a forty five minute drive. Booklovers will be tempted to add to their TBR in Hay-on-Wye, just over thirty minutes away. While The National Showcaves Centre offers a range of activities to amuse families of all ages, forty minutes away.
