Inside

Stay in beautifully styled Geodomes or Shepherd’s Huts, thoughtfully placed to make the most of sweeping countryside views, magical sunrises, and unforgettable sunsets—all from the comfort of your king-size bed. Each retreat is Wi-Fi free, designed to reduce screen time and enhance us-time, allowing you to fully reconnect and the natural world around you.

Each accommodation is fully heated and includes an ethanol fire for cosy year-round comfort. The kitchenettes come equipped with a gas hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, and sink—everything you need for a relaxed, self-catered break. There’s also a private shower room to refresh and reset.

Outside

Windmill Retreats is all about making the most of the outdoors. Every dome and hut features a private veranda or decking space—ideal for lazy breakfasts, sunset drinks, or a peaceful moment with the view.
You’ll also have access to your own private hot tub—the ultimate relaxation spot for stargazing nights and wind-down evenings. Fire up your personal pizza oven for a romantic night cooking together, and settle in around the firepit as dusk turns to dark.

Windmill Retreats is a working family farm, and couples are warmly invited to experience the rural lifestyle up close and personal—guided by none other than Farmer Mark himself.

Indulge in an Afternoon tea in our Highland Cow Geodome, nestled among our gentle Highland herd. Here, you’ll not only feed and connect with these beautiful animals but also learn all about their unique personalities, habits, and the love and care that goes into looking after them.

For those eager to dig deeper, sign up for “A Day in the Life of a Farmer”, where Farmer Mark will guide you through the daily tasks of animal care—from feeding routines to health checks and mucking in with the team.

Don’t forget our alpacas love to be walked round by our guests and the goats welcome a hello whilst you are on site.
