There are two elegant woodland lodges to choose from at Woodland Escapes. Mountain View Lodge can sleep four guests whilst Rowan Tree Lodge perfectly accommodates two. While away idle hours in front of the warming log burner or in the Scandinavian wood fired hot tub* or, venture out and explore some of the fascinating sites and panoramic views that South Shropshire has to offer. You’ll immediately feel at home in these cosy countryside retreats. Now which luxurious lodge suits you best? The gorgeous open plan living space of Mountain View Lodge becomes the hub for your group getaway. Cook up a feast in the well-equipped wooden kitchen and enjoy some quality family meal time atop the stylish dining room table. As night falls, snuggle down on the generous sofa to watch a film or host a competitive game’s night. When it comes to bedtime, the adults can enjoy the comfort and privacy of a luxurious master bedroom with a king-size bed. The kids can have the best sleepover in the second double bedroom. Mountain View Lodge has a stylish bathroom with a multi-functional walk-in shower.

Rowan Tree Lodge has been lovingly designed for two; a romantic staycation in style and comfort. As soon as you arrive you’ll be wrapping yourselves in the fluffy bath robes and heading straight out to the hot tub. Warmed in body and soul, take your time to explore this intimate retreat, meet each other again, relax in the light of the log burner and bliss out. Decorated by a lover of natural materials and fascinating textures, here you will feel back to nature. Woodland Escapes Lodges are located on 45 acres of private estate in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There’s plenty to keep you occupied right on site, and an endless array of opportunities should you choose to venture slightly further afield.

Ludlow is your nearest town. Famously described as ‘the loveliest town in England’ by poet Sir John Betjeman, a visit to Ludlow is a must! Bursting with architectural masterpieces, traditional coffee rooms and award winning restaurants. Ludlow is also home to a ruined medieval castle, where Mary Tudor once resided, visitors can walk around the ground and climb up the highest tower to be rewarded with panoramic views.

Woodland walks and scenic views are in abundance in South Shropshire. Mortimer Forest is just a mile away from Ludlow and is a haven for cyclists, walkers and waggy tails. You could easily lose track of time in this stunning woodland. For even more incredible views a trip to Clee Hill is a must! Take a picnic with you and spend some time appreciating the amazing country in which we live.
