Situated in North Wales on an historic working farm dating back to the thirteenth century, is Abbey Farm Glamping. Offering a tranquil location in three luxury glamping pods. Stella’s Snug, Buster’s Den and Jess’s Haven are named for the owners’ beloved dogs – past and present. The pods located near to the farms grazing and playful cows, sheep and lambs – where you can arrange to meet and feed them! Collect eggs from the chicken coop, or perhaps have meet and greet with the alpacas and Shetland ponies. The cabins are beautiful spaces and a fitting tribute to it’s surrounding. Cosy and comfortable, a true home from home, they are both well thought out and gorgeous. All three pods are for adults only and are therefore ideal for a couples getaway.
Facing out across the countryside, they force you to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature. They are equal in all aspects, but for Stella’s Snug which has a Hikki wood fired hot tub. Making this just that little bit more special, perhaps fitting for an occasion, or even just because.
Well located, Abbey Farm Glamping is just an eight minute walk from the pretty village of Rhuddlan. With plenty of amenities including; shops, pubs and restaurants.
Inside
It’s the lovingly planned little touches that make your Abbey Farm Glamping pod a mini home away from home. With a glazed door flooding the space with light, you’ll feel an instant sense of calm. A neutral palette with pops of colour makes this a lovely, cosy space. Cuddle up on the velvet sofa and catch up on some television. And while the kitchenette is incredibly stylish with grey cupboards and a granite worktop, it doesn’t just look good. It’s practical too, with a gas hob and integrated fridge and microwave along with all the essential table and cook-ware. Meanwhile, the gas lift bed is not only insanely comfy, it’s also a brilliant hidey-hole for storage. And at the rear of your pod is your ensuite shower room. Contemporary and sleek, it definitely gives the glam vibe.
Outside
Step out of your pod onto your private Welsh slate patio. Screened for privacy and facing away from the Abbey Farm campsite across grazing land to the Clwydian mountain range. Simply enjoy the peace with a drink of choice or stoke up the fire on the firepit and put the grill to good use. Dine al fresco on your bistro set, and watch the night draw in. Marshmallow lovers will be tempted with a spot of toasting for dessert. And if you’re staying in Stella’s Snug, you get the ultimate treat. Slip into your swimwear for a relaxing soak in the gorgeous Hikki woodfired hot tub.

Abbey Farm Glamping is the perfect choice for a couple’s break if you just fancy staying local. With Rhuddlan within walking distance, you’re also close to local historical attractions. Rhuddlan Castle, built in the thirteenth century, its concentric design remains impressive today. And Grade I listed Bodrhyddan Hall, a seventeenth century stately home is the ideal spot for an afternoon tea! Looking further afield if you are searching for exhilarating adventures, then Zip World has a range of locations in North Wales, where you can choose from quarry karting, to epic tree-top adventures or even experience the world’s fastest and Europe’s longest zip line! An hour away is the highest mountain in England and Wales where you can walk to the summit of Eryri (Snowdon), perhaps take a more leisurely approach and take a train ride to the top with Snowdown Mountain Railway, where you can enjoy the awe-inspiring views. You may enjoy a trip over the border into England. Just thirty five minutes away is the huge Chester Zoo. And of course, there is Chester itself to explore too, with its famed city wall walk.
