Birdholme Glamping is a sanctuary of relaxation and calm, offering luxury glamping with hot tubs in Nottinghamshire. Situated in a woodland haven overlooking a pond, you can really embrace and reconnect with the natural surroundings. But without having to do without those little luxuries and mod cons.
Ideal for romantic getaways away from it all, or holidays with families and friends. These stunning safari lodges have everything you need to create a break filled with memories. And with four of them being dog friendly, you can even bring along your four-legged bestie. Whether you’re looking for peace and quiet in which to relax with a good book. Or a base in which to explore the wider area. Birdholme Glamping has it all.
Inside
The stylish and elegant interiors of Birdholme Glamping Lodges have the open plan living/dining/kitchen space at its heart. A cosy seating area is kept toasty with the wood burning stove. Although with underfloor heating throughout, those flickering flames are more for ambience than necessity. A Smart TV and hyper-fast Wi-Fi are on hand for those evenings when you just want to pop your feet up and chill.
Each Lodge has a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, so no fighting over who has to wash the pots! To the back of the lodge, you’ll find a king-sized bedroom, a twin room and en-suite shower room. And for the kids, a cute mezzanine cubby hole, furnished with a comfy double mattress. Making going to bed, a little adventure in itself! The safari lodges are best suited for 4 adults and 2 children.
Outside
Each safari lodge has a private decking area with outdoor furniture for al fresco dinner and drinks. Take in the sound of birdsong in the morning until late into the night. Each Safari tent has a private firepit area, so don’t forget to bring some marshmallows to toast. Or add the cooking grill and transform your firepit into a BBQ.
The fifteen-acre woodland, the pond and meandering stream are there for you to explore. Head out on walks. Spot wildlife. Make dens. Perhaps bring along some outdoor games and burn off some energy on the flat lawned area. And of course, the ultimate in relaxation and romance, each lodge has its own private hot tub. Switch off to the outside world and tune into one another and your gorgeous surroundings.
Nearby
If you fancy leaving the tranquillity of your private lodge, there isn’t a shortage of local activities! For something different, try your hand at clay shooting at nearby Lakeside Clay Shoot and Fishing Lakes. Or if you prefer the water, Holme Pierrepoint Watersports Centre is fifteen minutes away.
Famed for the legend of Robin Hood, no trip to Nottinghamshire would be complete without heading to Sherwood Forest. The Visitor Centre is forty-five minutes away where you can visit the Major Oak, a 1000-year old tree said to be a hideout of Robin Hood himself. Also in this area is Sherwood Pines, with Go Ape, activity trails, bike hire, a café and mountain biking trails, it’s the ultimate day out!
For more family fun a day out to White Post Farm or Wheelgate Family Theme Park will keep the kids entertained for hours! Or for those that enjoy some city sightseeing, head into Nottingham City Centre. Visit the Castle to relive Robin Hood’s rebel adventures, or descend into the remarkable caves that snake through Castle Rock.
