Cwm Chwefru Cottages
Cwm Chwefru Cottages
Sometimes you just need to get away from it all. And where better than this idyllic, rural spot in the heart of Wales? But don’t be fooled by the peace as the onsite facilities are awesome!
Cwm Chwefru Cottages offer pure escape. Tucked away in a lush, secluded valley in Wales these lovely cottages offer a real break from reality. Here, the unreliable wi-fi and patchy phone signal is a blessing. Allowing you to truly disconnect from your everyday life and enjoy time together. Not only are they a great base to explore Wales from. But they also offer a fantastic range of onsite activities, meaning you can forget about the car and simply enjoy. Ideal for couples, families and friends. There are a range of cottages available. Sleeping two to four, or two to six people in one or two bedrooms respectively, there’s a cottage for everyone. And if your group is larger and celebrating something special? Cwm Chwefru Cottages can even be hired for large groups, sleeping up to forty-eight people.
Each cottage at Cwm Chwefru has been lovingly converted and repurposed from agricultural buildings. Fresh, clean and modern, they retain their character features, lending oodles of charm. Differing in terms of size and layout to suit a range of requirements. The smaller cottages sleep a maximum of four people in one bedroom, with a sofa bed in the lounge area. These cottages have one bathroom. The slightly larger cottages sleep up to six people. With a super king size bedroom, a second bedroom, either a double or twin – and in some cases the formation can be to suit you. Again, you’ll find a sofa bed in the lounge. These cottages also benefit from two bathrooms. All cottages are furnished with a fully fitted stylish kitchen. And for evening entertainment when you’re filled with fresh air and feeling a little lethargic? There’s a DVD player and TV with access to satellite channels. Get on your PJs and snuggle into the sofa with your loved ones.
The wider site of Cwm Chwefru is not only beautiful but packed to the brim with amazing facilities. For those who love to be outdoors, practise your ace on the tennis court, or your aim on the pitch and putt course. Anglers will love the fishing lake, while kids will adore the castle play area. The indoor, heated swimming pool will be a family favourite. While the sauna will help unfurl those aching muscles and detox the skin. Come evening time, head to the site BBQ area for an evening feast from the flames. And if you’re feeling competitive after all that food, make sure you spend some time in the games room.
Although there’s lots of activities on site at Cwm Chwefru, you may be keen to see more of Wales. You could lace up your hiking boots and explore the many walking routes locally. Or if you’re looking further afield, within the hour, you could be in the market town of Hay on Wye. Famed for its many bookshops, with Hay Castle being a centre for literature and the arts. Or if you need a bit more adrenaline in your day, try Llangorse Activity Centre, fifty minutes away. For a change of scenery, try the Elan Valley Reservoirs in the Cambrian Mountains for captivating walks and cycle routes. And beach lovers can be by the sea in just over an hour in Aberyswyth.
