A sublime collection of cottages with an eye popping array of onsite activities!

Located in the Stour Valley in Suffolk, amidst beautiful Constable Country is Gladwins Farm. Consisting of thirteen cottages in total, this expansive twenty-two acre site has so much to offer. Families in particular will be well taken care of as there is no chance of the kids getting bored! Not only will they get to meet the resident farm animals, but there is so much for them to do. Come rain or shine, they’ll be kept more than amused. And that’s before you even see what the surrounding area has to offer!

The range of cottages are suited to a wide variety of needs. Sleeping between two and sixteen people, these beautiful cottages offer homely comfort. If accessibility is a must, Wiston Cottage and Chelsworth Cottage are rated NAS Mobility Level 1. Additionally, some of the properties, such as the annexe to The Farmhouse Cottage and Gainsborough Cottage are single level.

With a blend of styles, from purpose built to cottages converted from a Tudor barn and an old stable block. All of the properties at Gladwins Farm share the same welcoming and homely feel. Tastefully decorated with carefully thought out amenities, they perfectly combine modern convenience with traditional features. Each property is completely individual in both layout and style. But they are all well-equipped. With modern kitchens, lovely lounges and bedrooms for all your guests. With the larger properties having additional amenities, such as washing machines and dishwashers. They really are perfect for families. Even the smaller properties, Kersey Cottage and Melford Cottage have spacious bedrooms with space for a cot. Although you may well be tempted to sneak away for a romantic break for two!

Outside

With many of the cottages having access to their own private hot tub, and most having a private outdoor space. You’ll spend happy evenings unwinding after an action packed day. And you don’t even need to leave the site to find the action! Gladwins Farm has an amazing site with tons of stuff to do! Nature seekers will love the woodland walk, wildlife spotting and meeting the resident farm animals. Youthful energy can be burned off regardless of the weather, with both an indoor play barn and an outdoor play area. Meanwhile weary parents can take a break and get their fill of freshly brewed coffee from the Coffee Hut. Borrow tennis equipment from the Visitor Centre and challenge one another to a match on the tennis court. Don’t forget your swimming costume, as there’s a wonderfully warm indoor swimming pool. And for those who need some healthy me time, there’s a small, well-equipped gym. As well as an onsite health and beauty salon.

Nearby

Gladwins Farm is ideally located to make the most of the beautiful local area and beyond. With 3,500 miles of public footpaths in Suffolk, walking is a must. Just one of the many options is the sixty mile Stour Valley Path. Or neighbouring Essex and Cambridgeshire have even more open countryside to explore. Just fifteen minutes away from Colchester, discover the many independent shops in its centre. Or head to Colchester Zoo on the outskirts. National Trust Bourne Mill, a historic water mill, is twenty minutes away. For those who enjoy art, Gainsborough’s House is just fifteen minutes away. While any burgeoning mechanical minds will be thrilled to visit East Anglian Railway Museum or nearby Boxted Airfield Museum.
