Located amongst twenty acres of farmland close to Exmoor National Park is Keepers Lodge at Luckett Farm. Part of a sixteenth century longhouse, the lodge has been sympathetically built and renovated with character features scattered throughout. Occupying a maximum of four guests across two double bedrooms, this is a real treat for either small families, or couples. A rural retreat, your break can be as peaceful or as busy as you wish to make it. Situated within a picturesque village it is a tranquil setting. However, the wider area is fit to bursting with things to see and do. But however you choose to spend your days, you’ll be keen to return to Keepers Lodge. Light a fire and pour yourself a glass of your preferred tipple, and simply relax.
A sumptuous blend of new and old awaits you at Keepers Lodge. The neutral palette is accentuated with beautiful original features. The inglenook fireplace, exposed character brickwork, beams and vaulted ceiling to name a few. The contemporary elegantly meets antique in a way that makes this feel homely and cosy. The downstairs space is open plan making it a perfect area in which to socialise. Featuring living and dining area plus a stylish modern kitchen. The kitchen has everything you could need, including a washing machine, dishwasher and a coffee machine. And upstairs you’ll find two spacious bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathrooms.
The outside space of Keepers Lodge is a lovely spot to relax within. A beautiful garden, plus a patio and dining set. Perfect for al fresco dining and evening drinks. With stunning views across farmland and rolling hills, you’ll be tempted to explore your surroundings. Whether it’s watching the local wildlife around the pond, taking a breath of fresh country air. Or striking out on a brisk walk to The Masons Arms. A wonderful local Inn with its amazing Michelin Star restaurant – your tastebuds will thank you!
Keepers Lodge is an ideal base from which to explore the wider area of Devon. Being located less than twenty minutes from the popular market town of South Molton, with its rich history. Take a trip to Quince Honey Farm to see the world’s largest exhibition of honey bees and explore their beautiful gardens. Or for those of us with a sweet tooth, indulge in a visit to Melchior Chocolates to pick up a special treat for later. Tiverton Castle, Bickleigh Castle and the National Trust owned Knightshayes Court are all within an easy drive. The city of Exeter and its famed cathedral and culture is also drivable in around forty-five minutes. If it’s long country walks you’re in search of, you’re at the edge of Exmoor National Park. With Dartmoor being a little further afield. For lovers of the beach, the gorgeous Devon coast is your oyster. Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, and Croyde are all under an hour away. With the joys of fossil hunting along the Jurassic Coast being fifty minutes to the south.
