Meadow Yurt at Southleigh Farm
Meadow Yurt at Southleigh Farm
If you dream of peace and quiet in an idyllic spot filled to the brim with nature. Look no further.
Nestled against two hundred acres of ancient woodland is Meadow Yurt at Southleigh Farm. Set atop six acres of private meadow near the village of Pensford in Somerset is this peaceful rural retreat. The only neighbours you’ll be bothered by here is the gentle twitter of the birds, and the rustle of wildlife. This is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Your own little haven of tranquillity in the beautiful Chew Valley. Being just twenty minutes outside of Bristol and Bath, with easy access to both The Mendips and Cotswolds AONB, it is in a great location. Meadow Yurt is the ideal getaway for couples, or families seeking some space and time away. Whether you’re looking for a space for romance, quality family time or quiet contemplation, this could be just the spot.
Inside
The interior of Meadow Yurt is a homely space, purposely free of clutter to promote mindful wellbeing. If the weather is grotty, enjoy conversation over a cuppa at the dining set, keeping the log burner roaring. Curl up on one of the chairs with a good book. Enjoy a long lie in or treat yourself to an afternoon nap in the king size bed. Come night time you’ll love to stargaze through the centre skylight. The space is ideal for a romantic getaway for couples. But with the chairs folding out into two single beds, it could also make for a fantastic base for a family break. Next to the yurt are the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Here you will find a fully fitted kitchen, including a full sized gas cooker. Along with an undercounter fridge, with an ice box compartment. The shower room is lovely. Stylish, with hot running water and a compost loo so brilliant you’ll hardly notice the difference!
Outside
Head out to the deck of Meadow Yurt to find out why outdoor living is so popular. While away the hours at the bench watching the local wildlife go about their day. Or challenge one another in a few activities. Bring along a few outdoor games and make the most of the vast space around you. Enjoy cooking al fresco on the BBQ/firepit. After dinner take a restorative dip in the hot tub. And dry off as you sit around the campfire long into the night at the rustic log seating. All the while enjoy the glorious open night sky and twinkling stars above.
