Sleeping four people in an entirely ground floor layout. And complete with all the mod cons including an EV charging point. This is a wonderful holiday cottage where even the furry members of the family can come along to, being completely dog friendly. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space is the heart of this home. With characterful high oak ceiling beams presiding, the space is impressive. With two comfortable sofas in the lounge area, along with a Smart TV. And with fast Wi-Fi you can continue with your favourite streamed shows. Or keep the family entertained with a competitive game of pool, table tennis or LED table football or one of the many board games. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for budding and experienced chefs. With an oven and hob, a microwave, fridge, plus a table top freezer. There’s also a dishwasher, so there’s no need to pack the marigolds. You also have access to a washing machine, ideal for those who enjoy getting muddy! With two bedrooms, the master being a sumptuous super-king size. The second bedroom also has king size bed, which can be split into a twin if needed. And of course, a bathroom, which has a walk in shower.
The cottage is set amidst the woodland, lending an enchanting feel. You’ll have the run of the fully enclosed garden, which leads you directly into the Forest of Dean, with stunning walks along the picturesque River Wye. Try your hand at grilling an al fresco feast at the barbecue. And enjoy the spoils of your venture at the outdoor dining set, with a parasol – should you be lucky enough to see the sun. And make sure you pack your swimwear to take full advantage of the luxury cedar hot tub. Marvel at the incredible clear skies and lose yourself in the twinkling nights.
Rowan Tree Retreat is brilliantly located for all adventurers and explorers. Stay local and enjoy romantic walks as well as cycle routes, all right from the doorstep. And if you are bringing your own bikes along, Rowan Tree Retreat has secure bike storage. Head out and explore the vast beauty of the Forest of Dean. Without having to get into a car! Take the route to Symonds Yat viewpoint, just a thirty minute walk from the cottage. Catch a relaxing river cruise from Symonds Yat East. Or use the ancient hand pull ferry to reach Symonds Yat West for a quiet drink at Ye Olde Ferrie Inn, built in the 15th Century! There is so much to see and do, with plenty of dog friendly eateries along the way. Or if you’re more of an urban wanderer, explore the local towns. The nearest being Coleford, with the market towns of Monmouth and Ross on Wye both being within a twenty minute drive. The cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford are both just over half an hour away. If historic buildings are your thing, you’re about to be in heaven. Goodrich Castle, Monmouth Castle, Usk Castle, Tintern Abbey and Raglan Castle are all within a thirty minute drive. And this is just a small sliver of a selection of what you could do!!
