Sigrid Lodge is managed by Dean.
Minimum stay for this property is 2 nights.
Don’t be a square…. escape to this magnificent Scandinavian A-frame lodge.
Situated within open fields in the Clwydian countryside is Sigrid Lodge. The tranquil, rural setting lends itself superbly to those looking for a true escape from the stresses of everyday life. Sustainably built to a custom specification with locally sourced renewable wood. It lives and breathes an ethos of respect for the environment and surrounding wildlife. Sleeping a maximum of four people, Sigrid Lodge is ideal for smaller families, friends or couples looking for a little bit more space. As well as being visually impressive, the lodge also offers homely comfort. Comfy furniture, luxury fabrics, oak flooring and a wood burner making the lodge ideal for year-round use. With a television and Wi-Fi, it’s a real home away from home set-up, in a beautiful area of Wales.
Immediately striking, Sigrid Lodge authentically mimics the Scandi style of decor. Minimal with a strong influence from nature, you’ll love the fresh, clutter free – yet homely feel of this beautiful lodge. From the entrance point, it looks like an ordinary, cute, yet triangular lodge. Enter through the stable door into a utility room, which leads into the kitchen. A small, yet practical space with cooking facilities, fridge, sink and workspace for rustling up mini feasts. It’s all about open plan living here, with the kitchen opening out onto the awe-inspiring living space. Double height, with floor to ceiling glazing, it’s a space flooded with natural light. It is without doubt the beating heart of this home. With a lounge area and dining space – it’s hard to imagine you’d want to spend your time anywhere else! At the rear of the living space, you’ll find the master bedroom, plus a shower room. And a staircase leading to the second bedroom, where you’ll be able to enjoy sensational views from your bed.
Throw open the doors onto your own elevated deck. With a simple wire balustrade surround allowing for an unrestricted view of the countryside setting. Settle down on the outdoor sofa. Or grab your swim gear and enjoy an outdoor bath! Get the water toasty warm and slip into the double ended bath, with a glass of bubbles. Relax aching muscles and watch the stars appear as dusk takes hold.
Sigrid Lodge is an ideal base for lovers of outdoor pursuits, and for those looking to explore North Wales. Set within the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its stunning scenery and rich heritage. Don’t forget your hiking boots, as you’re likely to want to explore by foot. Take a hike from the roadside to the imposing ruins of Castell Dinas Bran. Or perhaps you’d prefer something a little more adrenaline fuelled? You could try white water rafting with Bearded Men Adventures? Or select one of the many activities on offer; paddleboarding, canoeing, mountaineering…. the choice is yours. The town of Llangollen and its selection of cafes, pubs and independent shops is around twenty minutes away. And from here you could choose to see the picturesque scenery via the Llangollen Steam Railway. Or explore the museum of Plas Newydd, once the home of the ‘Ladies of Llangollen’.
Those looking for a true escape into nature, without compromising on style or comfort.
