Perfectly capturing the essence of warm Welsh hospitality, this luxury glamping safari tent features everything from delicious Welsh cakes in the welcome hamper to an ‘explore trunk’ containing binoculars and all the info you need for an inspiring adventure. For a morning stroll right from the door, we recommend following the waymarkers through the meadow, along the river and onto the hilltop where you can drink in some stunning scenery.
Indoors
Step inside the wood-framed canvas of the safari lodge and be instantly transported to a cosy alpine cabin. Oozing ambience at every turn, the tent features a central lounge area with lovely log burner stove, a dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, 3 bedroom areas and a spacious bathroom at the back of the tent with cool corrugated sheeting and a wonderfully hot shower that awaits your return from those wonderful walks.
Outside Stellar Safari Lodge
Stellar Safari Lodge boasts ample outdoor space for you to explore. Including a private deck equipped with sun loungers, a comfortable outdoor seating area covered by the canvas and of course, a private wood-fired hot tub. Want to kick start your day in the best possible way? How about a cold water shower and then warm up within the wood fired sauna – Bliss! Sit back and relax in the wonderfully warm waters, soaking away your stresses and gazing at the stars above. Thanks to the proximity to nearby Dark Sky Site, the Elan Valley, you might be lucky enough to glimpse shooting stars, planets and the milky way. A fire pit area with pizza oven is also the perfect experience. Or toasting the complimentary marshmallows whilst cuddled up in the warm woollen blankets around the evening fire.

Stellar Safari Lodge in Mid Wales is situated on a 300 acre working farm. This enchanting escape offers a rural respite from the strains and stresses of everyday life. Perfectly placed in the picturesque Rhayader area, the farm is within close proximity to a range of nature reserves. Meaning you’ll likely observe falcons and kites flying overhead and experience everything from wetland to moorland underfoot.
Stellar Safari Lodge is located close to the town of Rhayader, a mere few miles away and can comfortably cater to any drinking, dining and shopping needs. Enjoy hearty pub grub at the many old taverns or freshly cooked breakfasts and Welsh teas at the local cafes. Or if you’re in the mood for fancy fare, why not sample delicious savouries at the Banc in nearby Knighton. Or the cosy Seeds restaurant housed in a handsome 16th Century red brick cottage.
History buffs can enjoy the local Rhayader Museum and Gallery and other historical attractions nearby. Or further afield, Powis Castle with glorious gardens is just waiting to be both explored and admired. Active enthusiasts can set out in pursuit of the great outdoors. On the doorstep is the Elan Valley with the best cycling experiences in Wales, with the cycle track along the banks of the reservoirs, the mountain bike trails and the new Pump track Wales site in the town of Rhayader. The renowned Offa’s Dyke trail is also a short distance away or venture to the coastal towns and beaches of Cardigan Bay.
