Owners, Joe & Beth kindly donate profits from the Country Yurt to community development projects in Malawi, including funding Malawian children through secondary schools and reforestation projects. Not only is a stay in this quirky getaway good for you, but it also helps fund incredible community projects.
Inside
The Country Yurt sleeps four, with a sofa bed for children. The circular space is pleasing and homely and lit by the central roof window above and from the glow of the wood burning stove. Beautiful bespoke furniture and little luxuries all add a special touch to your stay. Furniture hand crafted on the farm, such as an oak king sized bed and restored pine table complete the rustic feeling.
A simple kitchen inside for meals and snacks, allows you to be fully self sufficient throughout your stay. Books and games will get you all together and blissfully entertained even on a rainy day.
Outside
There is plenty to discover outside the Country Yurt and we don’t want to ruin all of the hidden gems. Let’s just say there’s a bubbling hot tub to soak in, a hammock for enjoying an afternoon siesta, a vegetable garden filled with seasonal veggies, fruit bushes and even the opportunity to collect fresh eggs. For the lovers of the great outdoors, you’ll be delighted with the alfresco dining options. Cook up a mouth-watering wood fired pizza in the pizza oven or perhaps try your hand at cooking the best stew or chilli on an open fire with a traditional hanging tripod and cooking pot. Your four legged friend will adore exploring the meandering farm woodland walk.

The Country Yurt is perfectly located to explore the South West Coast of Wales should you wish to venture from your own little slice of heaven. A plethora of beautiful award winning Blue flag beaches and hidden gems await your discovery. Barafundle Bay is perhaps one of our favourite places to visit nearby. A hidden bay accessed only by half a mile walk from the nearest car park. This incredible location is often likened to a Caribbean beach with its soft sand and crystal clear water. Monkston Point, Saundersfoot, Llansteffan and Tenby beach are just a few examples of the other places to discover. Treat the kids to a rather special boat ride from Tenby harbour and discover the visiting dolphins and resident seals. If jumping into plunge pools, horse riding along a beach or paddle boarding down a river float your boat, these are all found within easy reach.
A visit to Wales wouldn’t be complete without visiting some of the famous Welsh Castles! Both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire are scattered with these historical giants, we recommend Llansteffan Castle and Carreg Cennen Castle are real beauties, with lovely walks to approach them.
