With all the facilities you could need right on your doorstep, you can snuggle up and feel a million miles away from the everyday. Switch off and embrace the serene landscapes and sounds of the wildlife. Spend your days soaking in the hot tub and reading a book or pull on the walking shoes and set out to discover the magical lands of rural Mid Wales.

A warm and inviting space greets you on arrival. Pop on the kettle and enjoy a cuppa whilst you unpack and settle in. The stylish fully equipped kitchen allows you to be self-sufficient during your stay. In the mornings, enjoy a delicious continental breakfast on the breakfast bar, whilst taking in those beautiful countryside views.
When it comes to bedtime, snuggle down onto the sublime king-size bed, put on your much loved series or film and prepare yourself for the most rejuvenating night’s sleep. No need to worry about noisy neighbours during your stay, you may receive the occasional visit from the nosey resident sheep. Unlike a lot of shepherds’ huts, The Ginger Nut Shepherds Hut has its own luxurious shower room with a wonderful rainforest shower.

Situated just on the outskirts of the pretty village of Guilsfield, just three miles north of Welshpool. If cooking isn’t on the agenda, you are on your holidays after all, sample the delicious menu at The Oak Inn or The Kings Head. The popular Derwen Garden Centre & Farm Shop also serves up some incredible home cooked food and sweet treats. The popular towns of Welshpool and Montgomery are also worth visiting during your time here. A morning exploring the splendid Powis Castle and Montgomery Castle will guarantee to put a smile on your face.

During your stay at The Ginger Nut Shepherds Hut we would definitely recommend a visit to Lake Vyrnwy. A scenic reservoir on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and Lake Bala. Spend the day cycling round the lake or take an easy walk to Rhiwargor Waterfall. Snowdonia National Park is just a stone’s throw away from your own little paradise. Challenge yourself with a walk up to the summit of mount Snowdon, or take a leisurely train ride to the top.
