The Star Gazing Treehouse
The Star Gazing Tree House
The Star Gazing Tree House is a spacious luxury timber lodge in a private woodland setting. It sits beneath a canopy of trees and was voted one of the Daily Mirror’s Top Ten Glamping Sites as well as being featured on the BBC’s Escape to The Country. Set in the idyllic English countryside and rolling hills of Shropshire, with views over six counties, the forty-five-acre estate is a haven to abundant wildlife, flora and fauna. Yes – it’s a bit special.
The Star Gazing Tree House sleeps four but best suits older children and adults. With a stargazing loft room and telescope, an escape here will remind you to let go of everyday distractions, and feel at home in your world.
To top it off, dogs are welcome to bring their families, as long as they’re on their best behaviour!
Inside
The interior design invites the beauty of the outdoors in, with fascinating textures and woodland inspired artwork. Gaze out to countryside views and watch the light move across the land as you relax and slow down to a more natural pace. Cosy up in front of the log fire during winter months on a comfy sofa which everyone can snuggle up on. It’ll be easy to cook up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen – and there’s plenty of space for dinner. The Star Gazing Tree House feels more like a stylish country home than a holiday let, due to the level of thought and quality in every detail. The beds are sumptuously comfortable: a king size in the master bedroom, and a double in the very special stargazing loft room.
Outside
Decking wraps around the Tree House so you can follow the sun, or for the best views climb to the balcony and nest in comfort to the backdrop of birdsong. Get the barbeque sizzling for breakfast, lunch or dinner, sip a glass of something chilled and potter in your woodland garden. Take a picnic into the woods, or order afternoon tea on your decking. Add use of the Scandinavian wood fired hot tub to your booking (for an additional charge) – where better to ponder and let your thoughts wander, gazing up into the canopy of branches between you and the sky. When the light falls, colour changing lights illuminate the bubbles and it becomes harder to recall living life by the clock.
Nearby
Shropshire Wildlife Trust manages an extensive list of reserves for nature lovers to visit. Said to be the ‘loveliest town in England’ it’s easy to spend a peaceful day in the historic streets, cafes and restaurants of nearby Ludlow. Tails will be wagging at the walking possibilities in the surrounding Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Clee Hill and Mortimer Forest are lovely spots for picnics and attract walkers and cyclists alike. If you have thrill seekers or teenagers rather than a dog to tire out, Shropshire Hills Mountain Bike & Outdoor Pursuit Centre and West Midlands Adventure Theme Park & Safari Park are both half an hour away by car. Or there’s a traditional fairground experience at Treasure Island in nearby Stourport. After all the fun and glamping luxury, remind the kids how lucky they are with a trip down the mine or to the schoolhouse at Black Country Living Museum.
