Waen Farm House is a house that is more than fit for such a special occasion! They even offer catering if you want to hang up the apron and take a night off cooking duties. Situated just across the English/Welsh border close to Newtown, Wales. The house sits upon a working farm, in a perfect, rural haven. Not only does it offer supreme comfort, having been renovated to a high standard. But it also offers the peace and tranquillity of its remote countryside location. Waking up to rolling green hills as far as the eye can see, you’ll feel instantly revitalised.
Waen Farm House sleeps up to ten people in five bedrooms, all coming with their own ensuite. Even four legged friends are welcome, with up to two being allowed to come on holiday with you. Your creature comforts are all here. With central heating provided via air source heat pump (good for the environment too!) and underfloor heating throughout. Wi-Fi is included, should you need it. And you will have private off-road parking for up to four cars.

Although modern luxury is a prime benefit at Waen Farm House, it is balanced to perfection with homely rustic charm. The downstairs space is the beating heart, the space where memories will be made. The beautiful kitchen is like something out of a magazine. Abundantly spacious, it also has one of the most desired of kitchen units – an island! It’s not just pretty to look at either, coming with an electric oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. It also benefits from an eye-catching Aga, a wine cooler, and a dishwasher. You’ll also have a separate utility room housing laundry facilities. Next is the impressive dining room. Spanning the length of the house, with almost as much glazing. It offers space for dining with a view. While comfy sofas are positioned to make the most of the scenery, whatever the weather. The living room is a cosy space. Warmed with a wood burning stove, it is here you can escape and pop your feet up. You will also find the first of the king size bedrooms on the ground floor – ideal if you have a guest who requires single floor access. While the final four bedrooms can be found on the first floor. Three of these have a king size bed, with the fourth having a rather gorgeous super king size four poster bed. All bedrooms have not only their own style personality, but also their own ensuite.
Outside
The rear bi fold doors of Waen House Farm open out onto your expansive patio space. Featuring the view you will never tire of, settle down here with a glass of something chilled. Or pop around to the garden sofa if you’re feeling sociable. Remember your swimming costume, as it is here you will find your eight-seater private hot tub. Ideal for relaxing after a day out exploring. And if you fancy taking the celebration outdoors, the Arctic Cabin is the place to be. With a BBQ, bar, and a speaker system, it’s the ideal spot to chill out and enjoy your evening.

Waen House Farm is in a remote location, and so the opportunities to get back to nature are numerous. For those who want to brave the water, you can opt for wild swimming or paddle boarding in the lakes in-front of the house. A map will be included in the welcome pack to show the short walk to get there. Keen walkers can explore the local paths and trails. And lovers of wildlife may enjoy a wander around Gilfach Nature Reserve, around thirty-five minutes away. For those needing a bit of an adrenaline burst, head to Brenin Adventures, around forty five minutes away. With a wide range of activities; paddleboarding, canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling among them. The nearest town is Newtown, just twenty minutes away. And slightly further afield is Montgomery, with the lovely Montgomery Castle. If heritage is your thing, historic Ludlow is just under an hour away. While on the Welsh side of the border, Powis Castle is just over a half hour drive.
