West Lexham Treehouses
West Lexham Treehouses
Breathe in, breathe out… It’s time to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature in one of West Lexham’s treehouses. An exquisite collection of quirky eco getaways situated in a holistic paradise in Norfolk. Just two and a half hours away from London by car or train. West Lexham is more than a glampsite, it’s an opportunity to escape the chaos of modern life and nourish your mind and soul in every way.
Swap busy cities for ancient woodlands, wild swimming spots, fine local cuisine and sanctuary gardens. Reconnect with nature and disconnect from the outside world, even just for a few days. West Lexham Treehouse are family and dog friendly, making them the perfect spot to retreat away with your nearest and dearest.
Bringing childhood dreams to life, these bespoke fairy tale styled treehouses are guaranteed to put a smile on all your faces. Each of the tree-top hideouts is so well equipped and well thought out, it’s hard to believe you are actually glamping.
The treehouses are designed in an open plan style, bursting with unusual pieces of locally hand-crafted furniture and luxurious touches. Wake to the dawn chorus and fall asleep to the sound of hooting owls and rustling leaves in one of the bespoke beds, super king or twin?
Tila, Quercus and Sunrise treehouses have hob & ovens fuelled by log burners. Ash, Owl & Tinker have slightly more basic facilities with a kettle and toaster. Microwaves and an induction hob can be made available on request. Tinker Treehouse is better suited for those who really love getting back to nature as guests will have use of the quirky outdoor kitchen to cook. Four of the treehouses have ensuite bathrooms but Tinker Tree house and Sun Rise Tree house share a beautiful garden wash room. All are bursting with fluffy towels and organic, nature friendly soaps & shampoos.
Everything about West Lexham is designed to relax the mind and warm the soul. There’s plenty to keep the kids occupied whilst the adults enjoy a gentler pace of life. Start the morning by enjoying a wild swim in the beautiful lake. Or, for those who would prefer to stay dry, take a lazy paddle in one of the rowing boats. There is also a naturally filtered outdoor swimming pool heated with a biomass boiler. Perfect for those who like a less wild swim.
Take a break from cooking, you are on holiday after all, and sample some of the delicious fresh, locally sourced food in The West Lexham Garden Kitchen. The cafe uses organic, seasonal produce with a lot of the vegetables, fruit and herbs grown in the West Lexham garden.
West Lexham is a retreat that you never need to leave due to the abundance of onsite facilities. However, the surrounding area is rich in nature with wonderful days out should you wish to venture further. The North Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just half an hour away by car. Offering unspoilt stretches of beach and seafood restaurants looking out to sea. The similarly eco conscious Earl of Leicester runs Holkham Nature Reserve along with his Palladian home Holkham Hall. Head to the dunes and beaches or book a day of salt marsh foraging and spear fishing from a traditional wooden sailing boat with The Coastal Exploration Company. For the keen bird watchers amongst us a visit to the RSPB Snettisham is a must. Awe at the sight of the tide rushing over the mudflats forcing thousands of wading birds to the sky – a delightful spectacle at sunset!
