Remote Getaways in the UK

In our increasingly technological world, us here at ToWander UK are quick to prioritise getting back to nature and enjoying the benefits that peace, quiet and plenty of outdoor time can have on our mental and physical health. You may be searching for a secluded cottage with a hot tub, with no signal or Wi-Fi to truly disconnect from life, or a glamping retreat in Cornwall, where the only noise you will hear is the birdsong as you wake.

We have taken a look at our favourite remote places where you can escape, in England Scotland and Wales.  Some completely isolated, and others are nestled together in the middle of nowhere.

England

Wales, the perfect tonic of rural rolling hills meets endless coastal paths. The Welsh countryside is pretty expansive but there is some breath-taking scenery on whichever road you may have to take. Head to North Wales where situated within open fields in the Clwydian countryside is Sigrid Lodge. The tranquil, rural setting lends itself superbly to those looking for a true escape from the stresses of everyday life. Or  you may simply just want to enjoy exploring and discovering small Welsh towns and villages. Located within private conservation land in the gorgeous Cambrian Mountains in Mid Wales is Chillderness Red Kite Glamping, where you could be sleeping amongst the trees in a quiet part of Mid-Wales.
