Situated near to the English/Welsh border is Sweeney Farm Glamping. Housing three beautiful safari tent lodges in a stunning location on this organic dairy farm. Idyllically appointed at the edge of a pond, with lush green grass to the front. Each lodge is filled with rustic charm designed to make your stay an unforgettable one. Stay as a family, or with friends. Or there is the option to hire out the entire site on an exclusive basis. The ultimate spot to host a reunion with your loved ones. Or celebrate a special event.
Breidden Lodge and Mountain Lodge have hot tubs to enjoy bubbles by moonlight. And small dogs are welcome too, with Pump House Lodge being designated as dog friendly accommodation. With public footpaths from the safari tent door, Sweeney Farm is a fantastic location for keen hikers. And muddy clothes aren’t an issue, with a laundry room on site. Doubling as an information hive, it also has little extras such as toys and games which are available for all guests to use.
Inside
When you step inside your lodge you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into another world. The calming natural accents give a rustic, character filled vibe whichever lodge you choose. For smaller groups, you’ll be well accommodated in either Pump House Lodge or Mountain Lodge. Each sleeping six people across three bedrooms, with a shower room. With a small kitchen, dining area, sofa, and television, it’s a cosy space to spend a carefree break. For slightly larger groups, Breidden Lodge sleeps eight people in four twin bedrooms, and has an extra shower room. A two-storey lodge with an upside-down layout, it is equally well equipped, with a kitchen, living and dining space. And for those chilly evenings, all three lodges have the benefit of a warming wood burning stove.
Outside
Each lodge has its own elevated veranda with far reaching views across the Shropshire countryside. Ideal to sit out with that morning cup of tea! Surrounded by a grassy meadow, you may wish to use the space and play a competitive game of rounders. In Pump House Lodge and Mountain Lodge, you can shelter from the sun and gently rock on the swing seat. And in Breidden and Mountain Lodges, outdoor luxury is ramped up to the max. Seamlessly slide from your sun lounger into your private hot tub. And for the most delicious outdoor feasts? All lodges have a BBQ and outdoor dining space.

There is plenty to see and do nearby to Sweeney Farm Glamping. The market town of Oswestry and its ancient hill fort lies just three miles away. With Chester, Shrewsbury, Llangollen and Ellesmere all within easy reach. An area rich in heritage, you’re a maximum of a thirty minutes’ drive from four different National Trust properties. Head back in time at the 13th century Chirk Castle or the medieval Powis Castle. Explore the late 17th century country house at Erdigg. Or indulge in the Bridgerton lifestyle at the Regency mansion within Attingham Park. Families can be in the world-famous Chester Zoo within 40 minutes.
