HARTA retreat
HARTA retreat
Take glamping to a whole new level with a stay in one of these sumptuous tipis.
Situated in a peaceful meadow in the glorious North Devon countryside is HARTA retreat. Within easy reach of Exmoor National Park, and the beautiful beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands. As seen on TV – you may recognise them from Channel 5’s Holiday Homes in the Sun. HARTA retreat comprises four tipis from two collections – the distinguished collection (Sitting Bull and Dancing Deer) and the superior collection (Crazy Bear and Moon Dance). Sitting Bull and Dancing Deer are one-of-a-kind, with two conjoined tipis creating a wonderfully spacious layout. Whilst Crazy Bear and Moon Dance are serene single-room tipis with king size beds and cosy wood burning stoves. In fact, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d walked into a boutique hotel room! And with hot water and flushing loos, this is seriously glamorous glamping. Sitting Bull and Dancing Deer even boast underfloor heating! Your tipi really does have all the benefits of outdoor living, with zero compromise on comfort. And reserved for adults only, you’re assured of a restful and romantic stay. Unless of course you team up with friends and create your own personal ‘festival’ style break!
Inside
Although the layouts and facilities are the same, the distinguished collection each has a distinct style. Sitting Bull has darker tones, rich earthy reds and ranch inspired accents. Meanwhile, Dancing Deer has a lighter palette. Rustic woods and soft creams give a light and airy countryside feel. A Nespresso coffee machine will see to any necessary caffeine fixes. While the mini fridge will keep bubbles perfectly chilled. Head through into your ensuite. With an amazing roll top bath for two, plus a flushing loo and sink.
Crazy Bear and Moon Dance also have their own unique identities. Crazy Bear is channelling Summer vibes thanks to its tangerine and teal palette. Whilst Moon Dance has more natural textures and calming soft silver-blues. A private bathroom sits next to Crazy Bear, where you’ll find a hot drench shower, flushing toilet, along with super-soft cotton towels. Moon Dance also has a private bathroom next door, where you will find a refreshing outdoor shower to liven you up in the morning.
The super comfy king size bed sits proudly at the centre, covered with the finest organic linens. Take the edge off a chilly evening and relax to the crackling of flames in the wood burning stove. It’s all so luxurious, you’ll soon forget you’re under canvas.
Outside
Roll back the canvas and enjoy the countryside views from your undercover deck, whatever the weather. If you fancy working up a sweat, head to the tennis courts. And then cool off beneath your private, copper styled outdoor rainfall shower. Enjoy a stroll around the ponds, woodlands and meadows. Or just pick up your favourite book and head to the waterside hammock. Dancing Deer and Sitting Bull both have private outdoor kitchens for whipping up culinary delights alfresco style. Whilst Crazy Bear and Moon Dance have fire pits with a BBQ grill – cook up a feast over the open flame. Finishing off with gooey marshmallows beneath an endlessly starlit sky. For those who want to truly relax and leave the chores of every day life behind, why not pre-order an authentic home-made Indian / Pakistani curry. Or a continental breakfast or graze platter.
