Hadspen Glamping
Switch off and leave the car behind as you enter this peaceful haven.
Nestled into a tranquil hamlet next door to The Newt Country Estate is Hadspen Glamping. Three off grid canvas safari lodges proudly perched amongst nature, offering a sustainable, eco-friendly getaway. The perfect base from which to explore the wider county of Somerset. And for music lovers, it’s only ten minutes away from the drop off point for Glastonbury Festival. Go ‘car free’ and arrive by train, hiring bikes and exploring locally at a gentle pace. You can even add locally sourced hampers to your experience. From scrummy breakfasts to barbecues. Even the drinks can be delivered to your lodge door. Your break will be filled with luxurious, homely comfort, making for a high-end glamping escape. Each safari glamping lodge is slightly different in layout, offering options for groups of four, five and seven. With no Wi-Fi, LPG gas heated water and solar powered lighting, this is an off-grid experience by design. Rest, relaxation and restorative time away from your everyday life awaits you at Hadspen Glamping.
Inside
Each of the three safari lodges has its own carefully thought-out and unique styling. Horscombe Lodge has a breezy bohemian feel, while Lime Kiln has a more country cottage vibe. And the largest of the three, Grisway, has a modern, contemporary feel. Although individual in style, they have in common the same luxuries. From their spacious open plan living spaces, complete with wood burner. And sustainably sourced wood is provided as part of your getaway – ensuring your lodge is kept toasty warm. A kitchen space, including a gas hob and sink. Comfortable beds with lovely cosy bedding will be calling to you after a long day out in the fresh air. Plus, the ensuite with waterfall shower means there’s no tramping across long, dewy grass to shower in the morning!
Outside
Whichever lodge suits your needs at Hadspen Glamping, you’ll fall in love with the outside space. The forward-facing elevated veranda will be your favourite spot. Beat the elements under the canvas cover and preside over stunning views. Imagine soaking up the soothing sound of birdsong as you sip your morning coffee. Lime Kiln has the added luxury of a wood fired hot tub, whilst Horsecombe Lodge has a quirky outdoor copper bath. Perfect for long evening soaks under the moonlight or early morning dips watching the sun come up. Allow the kids to explore and run riot on the expanse of grass, as you sit with your favourite tipple. Make the most of outdoor living and prepare meals on the Cadac barbeque, before devouring your al fresco feast at your outdoor seating.
