And it’s wheelchair friendly too, with one of the bedrooms being situated on the ground floor and being equipped with a wet room.

The renovations of Penshenkin Barn have been completed with an exacting eye and flawless taste. The jewel in its crown is the stunning double height kitchen and dining space. A dream for entertaining, this is the beating heart of this home. The kitchen comes well equipped with everything you’ll need to rustle up a family-sized feast. And the dishwasher will ensure that no one is left holding the marigolds. There is even a washing machine, just in case outdoor play become a little too muddy! At the end of the evening retire into the beautiful lounge. With its exposed feature wall and oak beams, beautifully accessorised with inviting, cosy sofas. Light the log burner and settle in for a night in front of the Smart TV. The bedrooms, a mix of king and twin rooms, each have their own en suite. With the majority also having a Smart TV installed.
Outside
If you’re lucky and get the best of the weather, you’ll adore sitting outside of Penshenkin Barn. Recline on a sun lounger or move those family feasts outdoors on the dining set. Let the kids burn off some energy in the garden area while you pour a glass of something chilled and slip into the hot tub. With seating for seven, whether you’re alone or enjoying laughs into the night, you’ll be stunned by the scenery whatever the time. With the beautiful views in the day time, swiftly followed by the stunning starry skies come nightfall.

While Penshenkin Barn may not be in the hub of cosmopolitan life, it has something far better to offer. The great outdoors! Being close to the Water-Breaks Its-Neck waterfall, a stunning sight particularly after rainfall, as well as many walks from the doorstep. If you prefer days out, Penshenkin Barn is well placed. Families who love their animals will love a visit to the Small Breeds Farm Park (fifteen minutes). Or perhaps explore a little bit of history at National Trust Croft Castle and Parkland (thirty five minutes). If castles are your thing, you are spoiled for choice with many ruins close by, including Clun Castle. While if books are your bag, Hay-on-Wye is a must visit (thirty minutes). Ludlow is essential for foodies (forty five minutes). Or if you fancy staying a bit more local, the market town of Knighton is just twenty minutes away and is on the Offa’s Dyke Path.
