If you are planning a romantic, quirky and memorable getaway then look no further than Beneath the Branches. A bespoke treehouse built around three old oak trees tucked away on Furzfield Farm in West Sussex. Carefully designed by owners Imogen and Adam, this rustic treehouse sets the scene for a rejuvenating staycation.

Situated in the picturesque village of Ashurst, this handsome hideaway will feel wonderfully secluded yet easily reachable. Feel the stresses melt away and leave the outside world behind as you walk down the pathway to your cabin. Did we mention your four legged friends are welcome too?

Inside

This quirky treehouse has been handmade with you in mind, no skimping out on the little luxuries that we all desire. As you walk up the wooden stairs into Beneath the Branches you will find a beautiful, fully equipped wooden kitchen and living area. A wonderful place to cosy on down in the evenings and listen to nothing but the sounds of nature. In the warmer months, open up the french doors and fully embrace the indoor/outdoor living trend. If you fancy a peaceful afternoon siesta head up to your cosy bedroom where you’ll find a king size bed awaiting your arrival. Prepare yourself for the best sleep ever. Leading off from the bedroom you can access your own private decking, perfect for soaking up some summer rays. For that extra something special, treat yourself to a bath in a stunning roll top tub.

Outside

If leaving Beneath the Branches is too much to ask, simply enjoy bathing under a clear night sky in the luxurious roll-top outdoor bath. Accompanied with a glass of bubbly is of course optional, but highly recommended.  In those warmer months, enjoy dining al fresco on the garden furniture. Venture slightly further afield and you will have exclusive use of an acre of wild meadow. Try your hand at some lawn games, find a perfect spot for a  picnic or toast some marshmallows whilst wallowing in the lovely location. Locally sourced eco friendly charcoal can be purchased from the farm.

Nearby

If you can tear yourself away from the comfort of your Treehouse there is plenty to do nearby. Firstly, if cooking isn’t on the agenda you could sample the menu at the local country pub, The Fountain Inn, just over a mile away from Beneath The Branches. Slightly further away you will find the Red Lion serving up unfussy pub food and some tasty real ales.

Spend a couple of hours exploring Knepp Castle Estate who are currently restoring the Repton park around the beautiful house. Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens has also recently opened their doors again. This lovely estate boasts Woodlands with a stunning Victorian rock garden

If you’re wanting to explore Sussex a bit more, a 45 minute drive will take you to the lively city of Brighton. However, if it’s small and independent shops you are looking for then why not head on over to Steyning, one of the most picturesque towns in Sussex. Perhaps treat yourself to some delicious afternoon tea whilst you are there. A short drive away will get you to a fabulous beach in Shoreham-by-Sea.
