Inside

The inside of The Scandi Cabin will blow you away. This is off grid luxury like you have never seen before. Effortlessly stylish, the space is open plan with glazing and skylights allowing the natural light to flood in. The pale neutral walls reflect the light a treat and is perfectly accented with natural hues and tones. Cuddle into the plush sofa as you preside over the views of rolling countryside ahead of you. And if the weather is a little chilly, the woodburning stove will soon have you toasty and warm, the cabin is superbly insulated to keep you cosy through all the seasons.  The kitchen space is sleek and well equipped. With a gas hob, hob based kettle, electric fridge plus dinner and glassware. Freshen up in the stunning shower room, which has a composting loo, sink and a shower. And dive beneath the duvet of your sumptuous super king size bed…. that’s if you’re not tempted to take a bath. Because in front of the glazed bedroom window is a gorgeous freestanding double ended roll top bath. Fully relaxed, you’ll drift off easily to the sight of the glittering night sky through your perfectly placed sky window.

Outside

The three tiered deck of The Scandi Cabin holds some very special spaces. Although you may be content to simply marvel at the beautiful woody landscape surrounding you, there is so much more. You are bound to feel as if you’re staying in your own spa as you luxuriate in your private sauna. Finish with a dip in the woodfired hot tub to complete your relaxation regime. Cook al fresco with the Kamado barbecue grill, which doubles very well as an oven. Or change it up with the pizza oven.

If all the peace and spa-like facilities at The Scandi Cabin are getting too much for you, you may fancy a day out. Bring along your hiking boots and explore the eighteen acres on the farm and beyond. If you fancy a challenge, The Black Mountains are around a twenty minute drive away. And if you’re feeling competitive, spend a day at The Viking Games, also around fifteen minutes away. With a modern twist on Nordic games, it’s great fun! In need of inspiration? Arthur’s Stone is a similar drive time away. A neolithic burial chamber, it is said to have inspired CS Lewis while writing The Chronicles of Narnia. And talking of books, locate all the reading material you could ever need in Hay-on-Wye. Around a twenty minute drive, the town is famed for its many bookshops!
