Cae Nant Glamping is a small tranquil site situated just ten minutes from Llanfyllin in mid-Wales. Made up of just three glamping domes: Cadair Idris, Cadair Berwyn and Tryfan. The emphasis is very much on enjoying the great outdoors. There’s no Wi-Fi, so you can truly disconnect and immerse yourselves in enjoying quality time. And the whole family is welcome, including the furry ones. And that extends to horses, as horse approved accommodation can be available by arrangement! The site is also available to hire exclusively for a completely unique celebration. Hen and Stag ‘dos’, family reunions or to escape for a fun-filled break with friends. Located on a small farm and surrounded by a farming community. You’ll get used to the sights and sounds of animals. The farm has chickens, cats, dogs, sheep and ponies, with most loving a bit of extra special attention! Families will love the freedom of the open space. While couples can enjoy a peaceful, romantic retreat. Start the day with a hearty breakfast, with fresh eggs from the coop. Before heading out for a day filled with outdoor adventure amidst nature.
Inside
Deceptively spacious, each dome is filled with homely comforts. All three have a private Elfin premium compact kitchen. Complete with microwave, halogen hob, sink, worktop space and most importantly, a Nespresso coffee machine. Perfect for rustling up simple meals and snacks. And you can keep the space toasty with your wood burning stove. Cadair Idris and Tryfan are both 7m domes, suitable for up to eight people. Both have modern internal shower rooms. Cadair Berwyn is slightly smaller at 6m. Suitable for up to six people, and you’ll find your private shower room just outside in the ‘Olive Pod’. In the larger domes spend your evenings spotting the stars through the stargazing roof. All from the comfort of your mezzanine double bed. And the kids will love Bertie the VW bunk bed in Cadair Berwyn! Each dome is sited to make the most of the outside views and the clear dome sides frame them to perfection! Characterful spaces, they’re sure to impress the whole party!

At Cae Nant Glamping each dome is set atop its own private elevated deck. The kids will enjoy the freedom of having so much space. And you can enjoy a peaceful coffee as they run wild! Grill your dinner on the BBQ/firepit and dine al fresco at the picnic bench. And don’t forget the toasted marshmallows for pudding! Or if you’re feeling like changing it up, you can even hire a pizza oven. Don’t forget to get the Hikki woodfired hot tub bubbling for a muscle-soothing soak. Look up at the startlingly dark skies, spot a constellation or two. Or simply marvel at the beauty of the twinkling night sky.

There are so many ways to explore the local area around Cae Nant Glamping. There are a fantastic choice of cycle paths, bridleways and footpaths nearby. Including the famed walking route Glyndwrs Way, which stretches 135 miles from Knighton to Welshpool. So, bring along your boots, bike or even your horse and get active. The site is on the Glyndwrs Way, a famed walking route stretching 135 miles. There’s even the opportunity to reinvigorate your day with a spot of wild swimming, just down the road. Around a quarter of an hour away is the stunning Lake Vyrnwy. Or thirty minutes away is Pistyll Rhaeadr, Britain’s highest single drop waterfall standing at eighty metres. For lovers of heritage, the National Trust owned Powis Castle and Gardens is a real highlight. Enjoy a spot of nostalgia on a steam train ride with Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway. You can even treat yourself to afternoon tea as you steam through the countryside. Or enjoy a day of family fun at Park Hall Countryside Experience, around forty minutes away. And if you’re missing the feel of concrete beneath your soles, the nearby market town of Llanfyllin is just ten minutes away. With Welshpool and Oswestry being around thirty minutes away.
