Idyllically located within a wildflower meadow, tucked away in a sheltered glade are the Kabinas at Baxby Manor. A fantastic base for lovers of the outdoors, they are situated in Yorkshire, between the Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors. Coming in two sizes, they are ideal for couples and families. Kabina Classic, which sleeps up to three people in a super king size bed and a single sofa bed. Or Kabina Grande, which can sleep up to five people. Coming with a super king bed, bunks and a single pull out bed.
And not only are the Kabinas uber stylish, they also form part of a site wide ethos to be mindful of the environment. With air source heating, sustainably sourced power from the site’s very own solar panels and battery-storage, recycling schemes and a policy to support the local economy. Plus, the rich and varied wildlife you’ll see around the estate are also protected with a wide range of initiatives. Ensuring the resident otters are kept happy and thriving!
Inside
The Kabina Classic, though smaller, is no less stylish. Decorated with a neutral palette and pops of colour throughout, it’s a fresh and very cute space. Meanwhile, the larger Kabina Grande cabins feature rustic wood panelling and a more vintage feel. All are wonderfully equipped with a lovely kitchenette. With a fridge, a microwave oven and grill, dual induction hob, kettle, toaster and all the pots, pans and crockery you’ll need. You also have a rather plush wet room to wash away the day in before clambering into bed. Super comfy, they have a view of the gorgeous night sky with quirky corner glazing to sneak a peek from.
Outside
Each Kabina, regardless of size, comes with its own, private deck. Sit and relax with a drink as you luxuriate in the tranquil peace, the site has a no music policy and quiet hours from 10pm until 7am, so you can fully relax and unwind in the countryside. Or, if you’ve brought the kids along, watch them explore this natural space with wild abandon. Enjoy your meals al fresco, whatever the weather with the canopied bench seating. Then head to your very own firepit circle for desserts of sticky s’mores! And later on, sink into the bubbling warmth of your private hot tub. The perfect spot from which to fully appreciate the awesome dark, twinkling sky.
Nearby
With stunning walks aplenty nearby to the Kabinas, there’s plenty to keep outdoorsy folk more than happy! If you prefer to sightsee, you may well be interested in visiting one of Yorkshire’s famed market towns. Thirsk and Helmsley are around 10 miles away. With Malton and Pickering being slightly further afield. Get to know the cathedral city of Ripon (thirty minutes) or the historical city of York (forty minutes). No trip to York is complete without an amble through the independent shops in the medieval Shambles. Not forgetting to finish with a pot of tea and a Fat Rascal at Betty’s Tea Room. Be stunned by the extensive ruins at National Trust owned Fountains Abbey (thirty five minutes). Or marvel at the sight of Castle Howard (30 minutes), a much used filming location.
